This is my first post on Hive, although my husband @buttcoins has been active in Hive since 2017, and our kids @thebombkids have had an account since 2019, and have been posting independently more and more over this last year or so 😁
We are on our way to the #hivefest in Split, Croatia. #roadtohivefest
@Buttcoins has been to three Hive Fests already, and we decided that this one would be a good experience for the whole family!
We flew from the UK where we were visiting my parents for the summer, and here we all are at Luton airport on our way to Split eating some great Indian food before we boarded our flight!
We arrived in Split on Sunday night, and after a rainy first day, today we took a hike to the top of Marjan Forest.
Our son has already been experimenting with the local flora by eating this cactus fruit… he did get a couple of hairs stuck in his thumb, but other than that it was apparently delicious 😋
We have lived in Guatemala since 2011, and have traveled in Central America and Asia since the kids were born. This is our first time in Europe as a family and we are planning to use our full Schengen visa allowance and explore the coast from Croatia down to Greece!
We are looking forward to our first Hive Fest as a family, and to exploring more of Split and Croatia over the next couple of weeks!
