Hey Hive,
The suitcase is almost packed, the camera equipment and GoPros for a documentary during and after the Hivefest are packed and the ticket is in the backpack.tomorrow is already the day. The last weeks have gone by pretty fast and the anticipation for the @hivefest in Amsterdam has been rising steadily.
In all the hustle and bustle around Splinterlands the last few weeks and tomorrow I forgot to create a #roadtohivefest post how we get to the Hivefest and what my expectations are, I'll make up for it shortly.
Road to Hivefest⁷
Our (@louis88 and I) trip starts at 09:00 and will enter Amsterdam by train via Duisburg.
When we arrive in Amsterdam at the train station we will first take the streetcar with our luggage to the Volkshotel which has a station directly in front of the hotel.
Check-in, meet the first acquaintances and then explore the surroundings extensively. I have been recommended a small snack bar at the station which is called "Flemish Fries Snackland". Maybe as a local @roelandp can give a thumbs up or down whether it is worthwhile to hold a snack here.
Later at the hotel, Hivefest wristbands will be handed out and one of the first opening drinks will be served. I'm also happy to see @apshamilton again!!! We last saw each other in Krakow, a long time ago.
In addition to the Opening Drinks, the Riftwatcher Packs are also on sale at @splinterlands in the PreSale. Here I bought myself into a pool as a precaution to enjoy the evening relaxed.
my expectations
Many speakers are signed up, great locations picked for them and a small but nice selection of activities put together. I try of course to take everything what goes. On day 3, of course, the well-known #BeerSaturday will take place again - I think here @detlev has already provided and one or the other beer will be taken here.
The Closing Dinner will be opposite our hotel which means that this time we won't have far to the hotel to celebrate the Hivefest on the roof terrace.
All in all, it will be a great time with familiar and new faces that make up the Hive Blockchain. The physical meetup has always been an important part of what makes Hive for me. Here again many many thanks @roelandp for the exhausting organization!

Der Koffer ist fast fertig gepackt, das Kamera Equipment und GoPros für eine Dokumentation während und nach dem Hivefest sind eingepackt und das Ticket ist im Rucksack.morgen ist es schon soweit. Die letzten Wochen sind recht schnell vorbei gegangen und die Vorfreude auf das @hivefest in Amsterdam ist stetig gestiegen.
In dem ganzen Trubel rund um Splinterlands die letzten Wochen und auch morgen habe ich ganz vergessen noch einen #roadtohivefest Post zu kreieren wie wir den zum Hivefest kommen und was meine Erwartungen sind, das hole ich mal kurz nach.

Unser (@louis88 und Ich) Trip beginnt um 09.00 Uhr und werden mit dem Zug über Köln nach Amsterdam einreisen.
Wenn wir in Amsterdam am Bahnhof angekommen sind werden wir als erstes mit unserem Gepäck die Tram aufsuchen und Richtung Volkshotel fahren welches direkt eine Station vor dem Hotel hat.
Check-In, die ersten Bekannten treffen und dann ausgiebig die Umgebung erkunden. Ich habe einen kleinen Imbiss am Bahnhof empfohlen bekommen welches den Namen "Flemish Fries Snackland" heißt. Vielleicht kann als Ortsansässiger @roelandp einen Daumen hoch oder runter geben ob es sich lohnt hier einen Snack abzuhalten.
Später im Hotel werden dann die Hivefest Bändchen ausgeteilt und eines der ersten Opening-Drinks serviert. Ich freue mich auch @apshamilton wieder zu sehen!! Wir haben uns das letzte mal in Krakow gesehen, eine lange Zeit her.

meine Erwartungen
Viele Sprecher sind angemeldet, tolle Locations dafür ausgesucht und eine kleine aber feine Auswahl an Aktivitäten zusammen gestellt. Ich versuche natürlich alles mitzunehmen was geht. Am Tag 3 soll natürlich auch wieder das altbekannte #BeerSaturday stattfinden - Ich denke hier hat @detlev bereits vorgesorgt und das ein oder andere Bier wird hier eingenommen.
Das Closing Dinner wird gegenüber von unserem Hotel sein was bedeutet das wir es diesmal nicht weit zum Hotel haben um dann auf der Dachterasse das Hivefest noch ausgiebig feiern können.
Alles in allem wird es eine tolle Zeit mit bekannten und neuen Gesichtern die die Hive Blockchain ausmacht. Das physische Treffen war immer ein wichtiger Bestandteil für mich was Hive ausmacht. An dieser Stelle nochmal vielen vielen Dank @roelandp für die anstrengende Organisation!
