Muy buenas tardes Hivers. Hoy, después de algunos días y después de tomarme una muy buena siesta, traigo mi experiencia completa en el HiveFest 2023 Rosarito, México.
Good afternoon, Hivers. Today, after a few days and after taking a very good nap, I bring you my complete experience at HiveFest 2023 in Rosarito, Mexico.
Primero les voy a platicar un poco de cuál fue mi papel durante el evento.
Mi nombre es Rubén. Soy sobrino de @gabbygolden y @theycallmedan. Dan me platicó sobre el HiveFest y que tenía planeado hacerlo este año en Rosarito. La verdad es que al principio no sabía si eso se iba a concretar o no, pero de todas formas me ofrecí como voluntario para ayudar en todo lo posible.
Pasan los meses y me doy cuenta de que realmente sí iba a ocurrir. Visitamos algunos lugares para darnos una idea de donde podríamos hacer las conferencias, cenas y paseos. Durante este tiempo @starkerz participó mucho y sus ideas eran de gran ayuda para tener una mejor idea de cómo hacerlo y tener una experiencia similar o mejor en comparación con los anteriores HiveFest.
Por motivos personales me fui de Tijuana, por lo que dejé de tener contacto con la organización de HiveFest, pero 2 semanas antes de HiveFest hablé con Dan y me confirmó mi participación para la organización durante el evento.
Tomé mi vuelo y llegué a Tijuana, donde la primera tarea fue recoger flyers en San Diego y llevar una van para poder mover cosas del departamento de Gabby y Dan hacia el hotel Rosarito. Como en todo evento hubo altas y bajas, pero solucionamos casi todas las dificultades con éxito.
First, I'm going to tell you a bit about my role during the event.
My name is Rubén. I am the nephew of @gabbygolden and @theycallmedan. Dan told me about HiveFest and that he planned to hold it this year in Rosarito. To be honest, at first, I didn't know if it would happen or not, but I still volunteered to help in any way I could.
Months passed, and I realized that it was indeed going to happen. We visited some places to get an idea of where we could hold the conferences, dinners, and outings. During this time, @starkerz was very involved, and his ideas were very helpful in getting a better idea of how to do it and to have an experience similar or better than previous HiveFests.
Due to personal reasons, I left Tijuana, so I lost contact with the HiveFest organization. But 2 weeks before HiveFest, I talked to Dan, and he confirmed my participation in the organization during the event.
I took my flight and arrived in Tijuana, where the first task was to pick up flyers in San Diego and bring a van to move things from Gabby and Dan's apartment to the Rosarito hotel. Like in any event, there were ups and downs, but we successfully solved almost all the difficulties.
Día 1 - Tragos de bienvenida en el Salón Cielo
El primer día, a pesar de que solo fue la fiesta de bienvenida, fue más movido de lo que esperaba. Ese día pude conocer a varias personas que después de convivir con ellos una semana puedo considerar amigos, algunos de ellos fueron @manuphotos, @gr33nm4ster, @eddiespino, @neopch, @mynewlife, @anomadsoul y muchos más. La fiesta transcurrió con normalidad y la verdad es que pasamos una noche muy agradable.
Day 1 - Welcome Drinks at the Sky Lounge
The first day, even though it was just the welcome party, turned out to be busier than I expected. On that day, I had the chance to meet several people who, after spending a week with them, I can now consider friends. Some of them were @manuphotos, @gr33nm4ster, @eddiespino, @neopch, @mynewlife, @anomadsoul, and many more. The party went smoothly, and truth be told, we had a very enjoyable night.
Día 2 - Primeras Conferencias
El día dos fue un día mucho más movido y pesado. Tuvimos conferencias, beerfest y juegos en la playa. Un gran día en lo personal, ya que ayudé a mover cosas y checar que todo estuviera en orden. También me delegaron la tarea de llevar cervezas artesanales mexicanas para el beerfest. En lo personal creo que fue un complemento éxito, agradezco a @detlev por darme la oportunidad de yo ser quien eligiera la cerveza y poder ser un tipo de host durante esas dos horas.
Day 2 - First Conferences
Day two was a much busier and heavier day. We had conferences, a beerfest, and beach games. It was a great day for me personally, as I helped with logistics and made sure everything was in order. I was also tasked with bringing Mexican craft beers for the beerfest. Personally, I believe it was a complementary success, and I appreciate @detlev for giving me the opportunity to choose the beer and act as a kind of host during those two hours.
Día 3 - Últimas Conferencias
El día tres, al igual que el día dos, fue bastante movido. Tuvimos conferencias en la parte de adentro del hotel. Se presentaron grandes proyectos que se vienen a Hive este año y para cerrar la noche una cena mexicana en el hotel puerto nuevo. Sinceramente, me la pasé muy a gusto. El estrés como todos los otros días estuvo muy elevado, pero creo que todo salió bien. Rompimos una piñata y desde mi punto de vista parecía que todos se la estaban pasando bien.
Day 3 - Last Conferences
Day three, much like day two, was quite busy. We had conferences inside the hotel. Impressive projects coming to Hive this year were presented, and to end the night, we had a Mexican dinner at Hotel Puerto Nuevo. Honestly, I had a great time. The stress, like every other day, was high, but I believe everything went well. We broke a piñata, and from my point of view, it seemed like everyone was having a good time.
Día 4 - Valle de Guadalupe
Uno de mis días favoritos de todo el evento, pasamos toda la mañana y tarde en valle de Guadalupe. Un ejido que pertenece al municipio de Ensenada, queda a una hora de Rosarito. Realmente el día en donde pude convivir más y tener pláticas más personales con todos los participantes.
En la noche de ese mismo día tuvimos la noche de póquer en donde tuve un papel protagónico. Esto debido a que después de casi 5 horas de juego gané el torneo, una experiencia de verdad única. No me lo esperaba, pero gracias a la suerte y un poco de estrategia de logro llevar el premio a casa. Quiero felicitar especialmente a @gr33nm4ster por su gran actuación durante el torneo y felicitarlo por el 2.º lugar gran noche mi Gr33n.
Day 4 - Valle de Guadalupe
One of my favorite days of the entire event, we spent the entire morning and afternoon in Valle de Guadalupe. A rural area belonging to the municipality of Ensenada, it's about an hour away from Rosarito. It was truly the day where I got to socialize more and have more personal conversations with all the participants.
In the evening of that same day, we had a poker night where I had a leading role. This was because, after nearly 5 hours of play, I won the tournament, a truly unique experience. I didn't expect it, but thanks to luck and a bit of strategy, I managed to take the prize home. I want to especially congratulate @gr33nm4ster for his excellent performance during the tournament and congratulate him on the 2nd place. Great night, my Gr33n.
Día 5 - Último Día del HiveFest
Todo lo que inicia tiene que acabar y que forma de acabar. Empezamos con una gala en la que se hizo el estreno de la película basada en Hive. Personalmente, me gustó mucho y espero con ansias volverla a ver, pero ahora en cines. Después de esta gran premier, pasamos a tomar unos tragos en los portales. Este sitio nos recibió con una vista impresionante, un atardecer que realmente dejaba a todos impactados. Pasamos una gran velada con el show de los magos y tambores que llegaron a amenizar la tarde-noche y para finalizar este día tuvimos una cena en Betuccini's donde se hizo un último brindis por Hive y todos muy felices aplaudimos este gran evento.
Como resumen puedo decir que esta experiencia fue única y que sin duda alguna espero participar en los próximos años. Realmente estoy ansioso de que llegue el año que entra, y nuevamente agradece a todas las personas que me ayudaron y que estuvieron todos los días conmigo @eddiespino, @manuphotos, @gabbygolden, @gr33nm4ster, @theycallmedan y @starkerz.

Day 5 - Last Day of HiveFest
Everything that begins must come to an end, and what a way to end it. We started with a gala where the movie based on Hive was premiered. Personally, I liked it a lot and I'm looking forward to seeing it again, but this time in theaters. After this grand premiere, we went for some drinks at the promenade. This place greeted us with a breathtaking view, a sunset that truly left everyone in awe. We had a great evening with the magicians and drummers who came to entertain the afternoon-evening, and to conclude this day, we had a dinner at Betuccini's where we made a final toast to Hive, and everyone happily applauded this great event.
As a summary, I can say that this experience was unique, and I undoubtedly look forward to participating in the coming years. I'm really excited for next year to arrive, and I want to thank all the people who helped me and were with me every day, including @eddiespino, @manuphotos, @gabbygolden, @gr33nm4ster, @theycallmedan, and @starkerz.

Ya habíamos hablado un poco en línea antes del HiveFest. Pero conocerte en persona fue genial! Gracias por todo le esfuerzo, hicimos ungran equipo. Felicidades por ganar el torneo de poker.
Me da mucho gusto verte más activo en Hive y que estés haciedno contenido de excelente calidad. Hive tiene mucho potencial y en México es todavía muy nuevo, la mayoría no lo conoce, incluso los que ya están en cripto, blockchain y web3, pero eso está por cambiar.
Un placer conocerte en este HiveFest amigo, de verdad que eres un gran tipo mi bro.
Creo que el hivefest superó por mucho las expectativas de muchos de verdad que los organizadores se lucieron.
Me quedo con esas postales de los atardeceres en Rosarito, Ensenada y el Valle de Guadalupe que sim duda son impresionantes, pero mas me quedo con el calor humano que obtuve de ti y los demas Hivers que estubimos ahi.
El año que viene sin duda estaremos en el Hivefest para defender esos puestos en el torneo de Poker, pero espero verte en persona en algun evento aqui en México.

A very excellent judge of quantities. 40 people attended beer Saturday and there was just one bottle of beer left at the end! Thanks for helping organise that and all the other things you did during the fest! Qué gusto que hayas podido asistir al Hive Fest. He visto muchas fotos de la actividad y todo se vio muy bonito y organizado, imagino que será una experiencia que nunca olvidarás.

Wow, qué maravilla de experiencia!! Cerraron con el Valle de Guadalupe, un lugar al que quiero ir desde hace mucho tiempo. Aunque no pude asistir me alegra mucho poder vivir la fiesta a través de sus fotos. Veo que desde el día 1, todo fue muy divertido, y el día 2 quizás algo más pesado por las conferencias acompañadas de momentos de relajación y diversión.
Muy bueno que hayas podido acercarte de manera más personal a otros participantes de la HiveFest.

Definitivamente una gran experiencia y además con un golpe de suerte al ganar el torneo de póker, aprender de las conferencias conocer tantas personas y ver la película de Hive en un ambiente tan espectacular como es tus fotos, de verdad motiva a seguir creciendo en la colmena.
