RE: A Space For Dreems (yes with two e's)

in Silver Bloggerslast year

Hi @samsmith1971,

I believe this is the first time I've read a piece by you. You are quite an inspirational writer! Your tone invites all of us to join in the quest for a 'dreem' life. You describe the building blocks necessary to achieve this in your life. The description prompts me to reflect on my own. Isn't that the point? To encourage us to look at our lives and aspire to a more satisfying existence?

My husband and I just bought a new house. A bold move at the ages of 76 and 77. We waited a long time to make this move. One could say we have lived a minimalist lifestyle, and we have the sense now of deciding where and how we want to live. Obviously, this won't last long...how can it? But it is the culmination of a life simply lived. Nothing ostentatious in the new home. Just a new beginning for two old folks.

Great essay.

hi you 🥰 This is a lovely surprise. My husband and I are in our early fifties and we know it is time to start planning the next phase of our life. We don't want to end up working many more years for no real gain. There is still life to be lived and enjoyed. Why should we continue to endure the parts that steal time away from us? So we are considering our options, and while we do, I am working on positioning in the short term 😁Congratulations on your new home!! That is so awesome. I could probably take a few pointers from you on minimalism. How lovely that you gained these insights so soon about life and were able to put them into practice 💗 I hope you both enjoy many more years together enjoying your new happy space to its full xx !LUV !ALIVE
