Early Retirement Plan from Hive and Investments Should be Done Now and Will Secure My Self at 50’s

Hello to all Silver Blogger friends! Today I would like to discuss my Hive plans and future investments that I would like to start this week. I have been so lucky that I became a Hiver since 2020. When I used to be younger and had a lot of money, I never thought of having investments, but now that I am getting older, every single piece of cents that I make money from working online and from posting in Hive should be put up in proper ways.

I noticed most of the senior citizens here from my city in their 60s; there is such no opportunity for them, like a job, as our country has age discrimination when it comes to looking for a job. When I was 30 years old, before I found it difficult to get a job because of the age limit from 18 to 28 years old, so commonly elderly or senior citizens are out of a job and just waiting for a pension from the government for 1,000 pesos every 3 months, I think, and it's not even enough to support medical needs and food.

So this is what I wanted to do. I am inspired by @tengolotodo . I had read his post before about Hive savings, and this is what came to my mind to do the same thing. So I have to keep posting to earn more HBD and transfer it to Hive savings. I have also shared this idea with my newbie onboards to do savings here in Hive. Glad that they have started doing it now and even did a Hive power-up.

A couple of weeks ago I made some HBD withdrawals and HP power down to invest in my house renovation and bought a washing machine since I am done with it all. All that I have from Hive blog posting will be saved here in Hive Savings. I would like to target also to get a thousand of Hive Power because I made a power down before, which was a very wrong decision of mine.

I have invited a group of senior citizens before here in Hive to post, but it seems they find it difficult to create a post, especially since it needs to be written in English. I guess they have less knowledge because they were not able to have a proper education during their younger days. I do not want to retire with nothing and depend on my children, so as of now, while I am still strong and healthy, I have to work very hard and double time.

Economic crises are very rampant worldwide, and 1 income is not enough, so aside from my coaching program and Hive posting, I need to have another stable income, so I am preparing for my ESL teacher application, and I have to organize my time every day from taking care of my kids, doing the chores, working online, and working as an ESL teacher.

I aim that in my 50s I am secure financially, even if not much, but at least I have some investments. I still have 5 years to make that plan work out, but it doesn’t mean that in my 50s I will no longer work; of course I will still work, but at least I am not that worried about my retirement.

Yes, we do need multiple source of income these days. It's not only for basic needs but in preparation for the future, especially for retirement years. I admit I didn't think much of it when I was younger. I sometimes regret about it but I know I still can do it if I am consistent with my actions towards my goals. Thank you for sharing your insights. I realize that I should hustle more coz time really moves fast.

I hope you do the same maam because now adays its life is really tough. We can feel how tough it is when we are still strong how about more when we get older and weak..

Saving is a great thing to do. The hardest thing is getting into the habit. It does not matter the amount, but saving anything often gets you into the habit and your pot will grow. We are all the same, the older we get the more employers donot want to know. We allegedly have no age discrimination in the UK but that is nonsense, it still exists.
Great to see posts from new users with your name on it being an onboarder :)

Thank you so much for your initiative about posting a post here about savings for retirement that came into my mind that yesss Hive can be my savings for my soon early retirement and I will share this ideas to my Hive friends and onboards that Hive can be our future retirement plans and I would like to include this idea in our Daily Hive newbie onboards orientation :)

Hive is great for many things. We can also find things to help grow our retirement plans too!
You do a daily newbie onboard orientation? That is great to hear!

This is an admirable goal to have, @antonette. Starting to save is not easy, but with time and discipline, it does because easier.

I have always found it best to have a "set and forget" mindset about it. That is, pay into your savings first, then go on with your life, as though it is not there. Any thought about it, particularly when it starts to compound and grow larger, can be a problem. Spending money is very easy and there is always something to spend it on, if you allow those thoughts to creep in.

I wish you well in your efforts in getting started on achieving your goal!

It's still a long way to go and still a lot of time to save. I hope I can have that motivation to do the same😬

I have a quick question for you
Did you real, bring many user on Hive? Why didn't you comment or reblog their into post? I just wonder, afraid if there are people just use your name
Please answerHello @antonette

Thank you

Hello yes I bring people on Hive I may not be able to comment into their post because I am also working and also my time is more on guiding them and answering their queries online and also I am conducting Hive orientations everyday for them to educate about Hive and follow rules.I have reblogged some and comment to some of their post but cant handle to comment them all.

Just reblog also good when you have no time to comment to make sure if those people are onboarded by you 😊

ok I will do it thank you so much for your suggestions :) its really much appreciated :)

May God bless you on your future endeavors, Ma'am! 😀

Good luck with your savings plan as well as your ESL application @antonette! The phrase do not put all your eggs into one basket is truer today than ever before.
