Ain't all that the truth. Hopefully the oven cleaning is the first thing so you can have that out of the way quickly!

One pre-cooked pizza waiting to go in for lunch, couple of slices each for three of us.
Oven was hot, spray my 'Clean Green' spray (de-greasing fluid in motor vehicle section in shops here) does the job when left for 15 - 20 minutes. Yup plan it, it takes 30 minutes approximately for normal sized family oven... yuck old build-up and you cook in it? Bonus is no strong fumes from using this method.
We enjoying cool rain (hopefully no floods again), if it wasn't cool I would not do that awful task, yet it has to be done.... no fairy helper for me!
Sounds like you have a good method down! We don't use our oven that much. I couldn't tell you when we cleaned it last! Yikes!
When we have electricity we are able to use the oven, failing which on top with gas... Living in Africa be prepared. Braai outside still the best!
Yes it is! I forgot you were in Africa. I don't think I could handle the power outages all the time!
Nor can we, this has been on-going since 2008 on/off, called.... ?
