Awwwww - I feel for you, and this loss!
My grandfather had cancer ...I remember that I was frying us some hens eggs for egg baps for my friend and his mum, when she got the call saying that grandpa had passed away.
Even though we had been expecting it, it was still a shock and indeed it was a shock that I got today as I had not thought about that memory for many many years.

It is weird, I had not thought about that for years, it is funny how memories are sparked and jump into our mind.
