I have a simple trick to keep the numbers going on my investing posts - #717 posted last week. I have a draft I keep on my computer - called Draft - it has the number in the title #717 - and it is standardised in format. I save the draft and save a copy named with the date of the next week I will post - Jul26. Each time I am ready to roll to the next one I increment the number in the draft and save a new weekly version.
I was doing that for orchid posts too but that has folded into the daily Actifit posts - I just leave the date in those and change the titles.
As for home grown orchids, my orchids hate the new location we moved to and I have not got around to finding ways to shield them from the elements (and less space indoors). So only a few survivor posts on those - coming soon - new dendrobium kingianum flowers
Awesome! Thank you so much for that advice. I wish there was a way to find out how many I've written so far without going back through and reading each one of them but hey who cares I guess. One day when I'm bored, probably this winter, I'll sift through them and see if I can come up with a number. I guess it's my OCD that's getting the best of me. Lol
Yes those orchids don't like much movement. Dendrobiums do pretty well as long as there in a nice sunny location. I keep mine by the southside door and they love it. I've also been soaking them once a week by putting them in the sink and filling it up to the top of the pot and letting them sit for 20 minutes. They seem to like that watering method better than just pouring a little water in the pot.
Just start with a number - 173 - and go from there
