With bathroom rennovations done, it was time to do spring cleaning. It wasn't planned, but what is these days. The wife took care of all the upstairs. My job was to take care of my office in the basement and a small section in our new workout/rec room.
Like the garage, my office has turned into a catchall for everything. My youngest came over and helped me clear most stuff out of it the other day and we swept it up some. I still need to go through a couple boxes, find a different home for stuff and do some deeper cleaning. Who knows it may become a working office again some day.
The section of the rec room has yet to be touched. It will be done after the office. I spoke about it in another post, but it mostly consists of what my son left behind when he moved out along with my gun and some hunting stuff.
Most likely that is what I will be working on this weekend. The son and I were looking to go fishing this weekend, but he had plans already for part of today and it is supposed to be raining all day tomorrow.
The wonkiness comes and goes, so will just take my time and get it done as my ability allows, but hopefully before the weekend is over. I need to start setting time limits on myself because I have become real bad at procrastinating.
A good example is my garage. If you have been reading my posts for any time, you know my garage is a thron in the side and is something I constantly mention needs straightened up. It has needed it for over a year now and I keep putting it off.
I think next week around Wednsday the band-aid will get ripped off and we will start it. Monday and Tuesday I have other engagements so can't start it then. I think the best approach is just empty the garage into the driveway, look at what I haven't used since living here and axe it. The stuff i axe gets sold, donated, or dumpstered. If I have used it, or it is highly likely I will, it goes back inthe garage.
Simple enough.

I know the feeling, sometimes I wish I had my own personal genie like Barbara Eden from I Dream of Jeanie! It would make cleaning up those spaces so much easier! How have you been feeling?

Yeah, it was kind of what created the need for spring cleaning upstairs. All the sanding created a lot of dust.

Ah yeas, I am very familiar with that. I made quite the mess when I sanded down the drywall in our downstairs bathroom. It got all over every room in the basement.

Just be careful things don't get rained on if you put on the driveway!
Shame about the fishing
Won't be doing the garage this wekeend. I will be finishing the office and the one section of the workout/rec room. I was kinda of looking forward to fishing, but it is what it is. I may just have the wife drive me to the lake sometime next week. Hope you enjoy your weekend Ed.
