It has been raining and snowing off and on here for what seems likes days. It is snowing again tonight as I type this. It is supposed to snow again Wednsday as well. So, if you are short of precipitation out there, please take ours. You are more than welcome to it.
The temps are also down into the teens tonight and will get no higher than the twenties thorughout this week during the day. I am no cold weather warrior for sure. I am typing this wearing a wool watch cap and covered with a thick blanket. Snug as a bug in a rug in this nice warm house. That is more than I can say for many.
Yeah, it is uncomfortable out there, but currently I am comfortable here behind this screen. But would it be so bad to get a little uncomfortable? I don't think so. In fact I plan to tomorrow to snap some photos.
I am supposed to limit my cold weather exposure due to the problem with my lungs, but I cna cover my mouth and limit my time outside. The coughing fit afterwards will be worth the time outside. Being holed up inside all winter is getting to me and I've got cabin fever.
It would be nice to think Spring is right around the corner, but I think we have some more winter to go yet. However, I am ready for spring and some good weather and fishing time. My youngest son's girlfriend has never been fishing before and would like to go. So we said we would take here when it warmed up. The time can't come soon enough.
We also need to still straighten out the garage this spring when it gets warmer. Due to the cold and weather this winter, we just haven't got around to doing it. If I haven't mentioned it before, the garage is the catch all for the house. It is the stopping point for all things coming in and leaving. It has alsoo become a layover point for things that should be in the storage shed where we keep outdoor tools and such.
It will be a chore this time because it has really stacked up over the fall and winter. We need a good swift kick in the back end for allowing it to get that way, but here we are anyway. In fact it is such a big chore, I amy pay one of the neighbor kids to help straigten it up if my son is not available and has to work.
The yard and landscaping will need lots of work after this winter. Frankly we didn't give it the attention it needed last year. We have found out this last falll that the yard is infested with grub worms and they are killing the grass. It will need to be treated first thing this spring. Damn dirty grubs. But, I guess they are just doing what dirty grubs are supposed to do. They just need to do it in my neighbors yard, not mine. LOL
Well, that's it for this morning and my singing the winter blues and spring to-do's.
Thanks for reading,
Joe

oh no, i do not want to take your precipitation as well. i am not good with cold winters as well, except when riding on a board.
Break out your board and take it please. lol
We got our first "real" snowstorm on Saturday of about 3 inches, which still isn't the "real" winter for us where we'd get almnost a foot over a few days. Things sure have changed since I was a kid, as winter now seems to have moved closer to spring, while being milder with any real snow compacted on the tail-end.
Have you heard of corn bulb lights? Some people use them over the winter to mimic the effects of summer. I have one above my workstation, but man, they'll blow your eye sockets out when switched on! lol!
I was just thinking the other day how it seems winters have changed as well since I was a kid. They seem a lot colder with less snow too.
I have not heard of corn bulb lights, but the wife bought me a special light for my desk that blows my eyes out. It looks like a little kindle or ipad.
LED corn light bulbs are on another level. They look like the one below (my bulb is wider, and some even have their own heatsinks and fans!), and mine are over 10 inches tall. It's so bright (you can't look at it directly), that last year someone came into the room thinking I had bright sunlight streaming in through the windows. :)

Keeping up with everything is a nightmare at times, I hear you there. I hope it warms up soon, my lungs and cold don't get along too well either!
It has just got away from us. We will get it taken care of though. Take care
For us it is almost like Winter waited for February to really show up. We have gotten probably close to ten inches of snow over the last couple of weeks. The sun is out right now, but who knows for how long and it is still well below freezing out! Good luck with your garage. Mine is a mess too, but not nearly as bad as my wife makes it out to be!
Oh, mine is a real mess. The bad thing is, a little over a year ago my wife and son did straightened it up as a fathers day gift for me when I was sick. But here we are again. LOL
I think that is pretty typical. I will get mine all clean and then things just pile up and before you know it, my wife is complaining about it again!
I think we have had crappy weather until I hear yours!
Take care of yourself Joe but I know the cabin fever feeling. We don't get snow, and the weather has been grey and dreich just hovering a few degrees above freezing.
Well here is to wishing for a quick roll into spring for the both of us.
I second that!

Indeed, one has to endure the harsh reality of Winter before enjoying the calm touch of Spring. I suppose staying outside can worsen your coughing. May you feel better as the days go by. The thought of Spring brings some excitement for you as it gives you chance to go fishing. You will be too busy working on your Winter errands that you won't even notice the arrival of Spring. Hopefully so!
Sadly I don't have many winter errands. Luckily I have reading and Hive.
Yes, Hive will take your winter blues away... ☺️
