It's so hard to wake up without you around

That lively and curious little face gave me so much joy and smiles.}

The last few days have been too sad at home. We are never prepared to lose the ones we love.

We lost Grogu abruptly and unexpectedly.

When what I had in mind was how we would celebrate his first year with us in a couple of weeks. Suddenly on the weekend, he started to have some weird seizures. At first, we could not identify them, as they turned out to be partial seizures. We took him to the vet but he did not react to any treatment for two days, and the seizures became more frequent until he could not resist anymore.

Yesterday, we said goodbye to you on the physical plane with much sadness and pain, but your memory will always be with us, dear Grogu. We carry you tattooed not only in our arms but also in our hearts since the day you came to fill our lives with joy.

You filled our house with joy. Your home, your little kingdom. You filled it with mischief and games. You did what you wanted, and we let you have fun with every one of your witticisms, and we had so much fun too.

You gave us as much love as we gave you. Life has thrown us so many curve balls in recent times, and having you was a balm of happiness for all of us.

I miss so much hugging and pampering you. It's hard for me to get up without hearing you meowing for me to put your food out for you, as you liked it. It's so hard not to hear you running and playing in the morning and to look at each of your favorite places to take a nap.

And although your time in life was relatively short, I am left with the satisfaction of knowing that we made you immensely happy. Except for your last days, you were always a happy, mischievous, curious, playful, and loving cat, a real little rascal.

Yesterday Rorro remembered how you loved to stay in the room with him during the months before he left for college and listen to Pink Floyd at full volume while you lay next to him. And you don't know how much I wish you were here right now. Today, I don't have a #threetunetuesday but a song for you.

As my son wrote you yesterday, you are now with the moon and the stars. May strength be with you always, Grogu. 💙🐱

And wherever you are, receive a tight hug and a wet-nose kiss from your hooman mum, who misses you so much.
