It's true. It is individual and I am with you on the daily changing. I swear that is why my posts are so eclectic. Or perhaps that is the way my brain works. It is so spot on with the little things. It is always the little things in life. There was a little caterpillar, inching along, taking his time, not in a rush. He was enjoying the day. That is the way to live life, :)
It is so good to see you!
Oh, there is the sound of rain today. I think I need it. It gives me a reason to pause and take a breather. I hope you are having a wonderful day!
Rain, rain, go away!
Yep, that explains my diversity on posts too hahaha
You are the same in that way. But we knew that already from each other ☺️
The little things are what matter… we have to pause sometimes to see. And than life becomes magical 🤩
Thanks so much, it’s good to be back 💃🏻💃🏻
See… the sound of rain makes you go… breathhhhh… a pause even if it is for a moment.
So far my day have been wonderful, still adjusting to the time difference hehehe 🤭
Hope your day will be wonderful too.
Rain rain is also good for Mother Nature… we need it. But I understand fully.
Enjoy today Denise 🤗🤗🥰
Oh, yeah! It is good to be back. Did you like the rest of your trip to Boston? I need to make my way over to your profile. I need more time in my day!! :) So, tell me, is the US (or that part of it as it really is diversified) what you expected? More? Less? Many places were nothing like I expected and most of them were more than what I expected.
The place that you will be transferred to, is it what you hoped for?
I liked the last bit of our trip. But the 4 days turned out to be only 2 full days in Boston. Wayyyy to less time to explore. And the first full day it was raining hehehe 🤭 but that made for empty streets. (Mostly)
We loved the areas we explored. We even went into Connecticut for 5 minutes hahaha
Went through New York State up to Vermont for the day. So we did have some amazing road trips.
Haven’t shared anything yet. As I bought a new camera 📸 and only at home could transfer the photos to my laptop. Still going through them. Will share soon, probably tomorrow 😉🤓
Some places we had on the list turned out not for us. But others we were pleasantly surprised by. The only big thing we need to decide is. Do we want walkable things close by. Like a shop and restaurant (what means for us 30 minute walk would be fine) and public transport even if it is just a bus to something larger. Or do we want to be fully in nature. A garden is a must!
As we will be renting first anyway, we will have more time to decide.
It felt so good the larger area. It would fit us and we would fit there. We met such friendly people… we loved the fresh air. The cooler air. Even the rain hehehe 🤭
The nature is just like I thought it would be. Love it already. Moved in my mind. Now the paperwork.
We are concentrating on that area. But we are prepared for changes too. As the company is still discussing many things.
All is fine as long as we move out of Spain, we outgrew it soooo much.
I was hoping you moved around in your travels, as you did. When you happen upon a town or area that is definitely not you, it is best to move on. I am from Connecticut and there are places I never go to. :) OK, I went and decided, no way! I have lived both ways and I like being able to walk, but, that brings other problems. Traffic, higher insurance, (more accidents) higher taxes usually. People commuting. Living a little out can bring other problems, no public transportation, medical/doctors /grocery/hardware stores further. But, it has tradeoffs. You get more for your money in housing/property. Will you have kids? You have so many options. Glad you are going to rent. I wouldn't do it any other way.
Yes, we needed to move around as much as possible. And we saw really a lot of places and areas.
We are drawn to living a bit out of it all. Much more than living in a busy area. We won’t move to a city. Nope. Maybe an edge of a small village or between two. We will see.
We prefer space and a garden. And the perks that come with it. It is really a trade off.
We are still young enough to travel and drive a car. 🙂
We (actually I) have moved so many times and lived in such different places. Countryside, villages and in the centre of a large city. Mountains and sea side and everything in between. We should know what we would prefer by now.
If I crave a city, I just visit it.
Renting first is the best starting point for us. Than we have time to search for our home to settle and stay. 😊🥰 kids… we are way last that point 😉
Have a lovely evening Denise.
I mostly drive to the city. A house was built out enough to be convenient to work and the city, but, able to enjoy the freedom of living out and having the gardens. I love gardens. And peach trees and apples, pears, kiwi, and pomegranate- oh! Figs! many of them.
I use mass transit, but, far enough out that a car is easier for me.
Haha! I don't think I will ever be too old for that! :)
No way! I was waiting for the kids! Oh, well. Another lifetime. :) I know you will find the perfect set up. Wait for another year, prices are falling weekly.
Yes, sounds convenient. But I know you are looking for a bit further out too. As it is getting more busier.
Gardens are a must. For us veggies, herbs and fruits too 😁 and nature close by for walks/ trails. 🥰
You are right, we are probably never too old for driving and traveling. 😊
Really… hahaha we are not the youngest any more either. Another lifetime for hubby indeed.
Timing wise it would be perfect with the falling prices. Now getting there first.
Tomorrow we have a new meeting about progress and what the delays are. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
