Sunday, Sunday. So Good to be Home.

I revel in the air. The season of joy is upon us, just like that. The magic of Christmas, the romantic touches that it feels. So easily I get swept up in the passion of it all - the sights, the sounds, the smells, and that warm, enchanting ambiance.

Breathe deeply

I got back in town last night. I left when the trees had beautiful colors, although there were some that had already made their way to the ground. I couldn't help being a little surprised to come back to the barren landscape. Expected, but, still a surprise. It was like losing a whole season. I have been gone for almost forever it seems, certainly for five more days than I had originally planned. Best-laid plans have gone astray once more. With the unpacking done and running a little behind, by a day or so, we will start decorating the house for the season of joy, my favorite time of the year. Many people from the family tree will gather, one of the many things to look forward to over the upcoming Christmas season. Aunts and Uncles and cousins... Brothers, sisters, and some of their children, big and small. There will be furbabies galore. What would life be without them? Family rules! I cannot imagine life without them. Life is beautiful, yes? I know that I am rambling a bit, but, so you know, I have missed you all!! Today is a #BeautifulSunday by @Ace108, where we share our day in the most possibly beautiful way that we can. So a day steeped in decorating and reflection, definitely a #SublimeSunday in the making, by the Meister of my morning, @c0ff33a. I do love my @c0ff33 and he likes eclectic! A match made in heaven..

I release those thoughts deeply hidden within, wishing to bring those souls who lost meaning while seeking it, flowing through the rhythm of the joy, these words. I can't hesitate to swing with it like a pendulum. I look at our world today and decide that the only thing I can do is focus on the good and the less good becomes more of a blur. Yes?

christmas ornament 22.jpg

I take things from the boxes they were packed in, allowing for the moments of joy when meeting up, once again, to a favorite ornament or piece of the holiday spirit. There are Christmas hymns playing softly in the background, working their way up to booming. You know the words, come and join in!

Hallelujah!

The joy of passing thoughts and feelings, the words which always take me on a journey. I have missed being with my family and it is such a warm and wonderful day being surrounded by them. I didn't think it was possible to love anyone so much.

christmas lving 1.jpg

A few weeks ago, I pondered the memory attached to the sounds of Christmas. People places and even things. But truly, it is the people that are most on my mind. What are they doing? Where are they? For the ones I have lost touch with, are they happy? Do they ever touch on days gone by, when our paths crossed on a daily basis?

I asked you if you have a friend like that. Once so close, even more than your own family at times? Then for one reason or another, the ties are no longer, or perhaps they are lying dormant, waiting for life to be pumped back into them. Reflections. Of life. This is such a good time of year for reflections. So, stop for a few minutes and visit. Today is a most beautiful day, filled with sunshine and happiness - and a little glitter too! And let's not forget that there is a side of sublime. Happy #BeautifulSunday!Sublimely so!

tree of life.png

One tree at a time, the normal... We have one tree done, and two to go. The joy has just begun. I want to thank @Ace108 and @c0ff33a for hosting our Sunday!!

The gift of love.
The gift of peace.
The gift of happiness.
May all these be yours at Christmas.
May the joy continue to radiate in your lives,
long after the season is gone, gone, gone.

All I have are my words, armed in my mind, written in pen, stand by stand. Oh, yes. Still by hand. It has a different feel. Altered not by keys, backspace, and delete, I write, erase, tear it to pieces and start all over again. And again.

It’s my way. I walk out to the deep end of the page and dive right in.

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I -
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Do you know what I was afraid of? I was afraid there'd be problems with Christmas because you started counting the days... and then you stopped. I'm so glad you're back and I look forward to seeing some of the beauty you've seen.
Welcome home, Denise! Christmas is calm now. His dearest ambassador is back at work. On all fronts, in the family and here. I am convinced that from now on Christmas preparations will be well displayed here.

Hi, Dan! @bluemoon I guess I thought everyone knew I was leaving for a few weeks. Not really a planned vacation, although I did fit a few days in. I will take a little time in January and then again in February, but, this time I will take a laptop with me. I intend to have enough downtime to put out a post now and again.

I am so glad to be back and I look forward to the season of joy! I decorated two small trees tonight. Both of my pencil trees have gotten decorated. I look forward to posting a little Christmas on a daily basis. :) Tell me when I do too much!

Good to see you, Dan!

I knew of ten days of vacation and when I saw the days add up and exceed two weeks I was worried. Especially since you haven't posted anything in that time, not even voted on anything, as far as I could see. Now I understand it was fine and then nothing else matters. I'm glad you're going on a few more short vacations.

I know well how busy but joyful you are during this time of Christmas preparations. I wish with all my heart that nothing will overshadow these joys.
I'm telling you right now. Nothing is too much when it comes from your heart and from your sincere joy!
I'm so glad to see you, Denise!

I arrived exhausted yesterday, I was helping a friend move and it was hard work. Still, I found the strength to decorate this weekend or at least I've already started. Christmas is beautiful and every detail makes us sigh.

I have beautiful memories of Christmas and that is what makes me very happy.

I have helped friends move! It is a lot of work! That is awesome that you found the time and strength to start decorating. I love the Christmas spirit, the beauty of it all!

My memories are the best! Isn't this time of year amazingly and full of sparkle? xo Thanks for stopping by!

Back just in time to start decorating for Christmas. I remember you saying last year that you have multiple trees in your home, so it's a pretty big job I bet.
We are going to put up our tree tomorrow and I think start watching Christmas movies to get into the holiday spirit

I know!! That is the way it goes though! I do have a few trees and I have help, so it really isn't too bad. It is a labor of love, so I get joy out of it. :)

It is that time of year. I have my Christmas list of movies running, so I am ready and spirited! I can hardly wait to see your tree. I love them all! Tis the season!!!

Hi, @leaky20! Hope all has been well with you!

Helllo Denise welcome back :)

Hello! what a beautiful publication! It is true that Christmas is the season of joy! When I visited New York in 2018, I was fascinated, because in mid-October, there were already some shops selling Christmas stuff. That seemed wonderful to me, because it's like they start to breathe happiness much earlier than in the culture of my country, Argentina. I really like how the United States or European countries have this spirit of happiness for the holidays.

I understand when you say that it seems like you skipped a season, that you left with trees in their most vivid tones and arrived to a new temperature, to a new urban landscape. It has happened to me and it is a strange feeling, equally good to explore.

Family and friends on this date are most important, like treasures, I'm so glad you get to share with them.

I'm listening to the song right now! Thank you for that, I love it in its different versions and languages.

Have a beautiful day!

Your words made my day. Such a wonderfully meaningful comment. Thank you. I worked in NYC for a couple of years and I love the city as it is vibrant and full of life. My uncle lived in Argentina and loved it, then migrate to the US where there was family.

It really was odd coming back and I am adjusted now, but, it was pretty strange to have the bare trees meeting me. :)

I love this group and they have a lot of nice Christmas hymns. Thank you for stopping by! Have an amazing day!

I was wondering when you start working on a tree. That one is so filled with ornaments it must have taken you forever to do.

Hi there!! Well, I was out of the country for a few weeks and just got back. I don't travel or take jobs away from home between Thanksgiving and Christmas! 100% family time!

I start right after Thanksgiving! This is the small tree. I have a real tree for the main tree, I am in love with the smell of pine. Here is my tree from last year. It has lots of ornaments!!!

Good to have you back Denise 🤗😊🥰
Yes, plans never fully go as expected.

Aawww the bare trees, it must have looks so different returning.
My favourite time too, Christmas… 🎄🎄🎄 gatherings with family and friends. The best things.

I think everybody has some friends like that, lost… one would wonder what they do and how they are.
Have a wonderful week.
Ease in into everything. And have fun decorating the house 🥰😊🤗☀️

Yes!! I did the pencil trees tonight! I am easing in, I have to. I don't have endless time like you do! :) LOL

You are busier than most people I know!

Any news???

Good to hear Denise 😊👋🏻
I don’t have much time the last days either and the next 3 weeks. So busy with sorting things out. Planning our country move myself, company isn’t assisting this time, now trying to find a rental hehehe 🤭 I need more hours in a day for sure.

Our plans changed 180 degrees. We won’t move to New England now. With the company that took over and everything they changed. Nope US is no option now. Sadly as we were preparing for that a year now. But as you know, life can change quickly.

We will move. Soon…
As in Next month soon 😁🤩 all the way up north now ❄️☃️❄️☃️❄️☃️ Will tell the country at a later day. Finalising everything first.
The truck comes the 16th of December to pick up our belongings.
We fly to our new country 🛫✈️ The 19th 😎 just before Christmas.
So I need to find a rental asap. Remotely hahaha 🤣 what isn’t easy.
I will be a bit quieter here the coming weeks. Now packing boxes… luckily I left 80% packed.
Have a wonderful day @dswigle 👋🏻😊🤗

Welcome Back !

Thank you! It is always good to be back. Hope all is well with you and the family. A belated Happy Thanksgiving!

Mostly good until a couple of hours ago when I was working, heard a crash and found my table top tree with all my most prescious glass ornaments on it had crashed to the floor out of the blue and with no apparent prompt from any outside sources. Will be working at lunch to try to see which have survived.... and not.

The NERVE of the universe causing this to happen !

OMG! NO way!! I cannot believe that! 😭 Did the stand collapse? It is not a job for the faint-hearted! Bring wine, or just whine. Either works in this instance. ❤️

Dang, that universe! She has got some big ones!

Lovely shots, but jaysus!!!!!!!! it is only November lol

I usually climb up into the loft on December the 20th for my decorations, just in time for the start of the Winter Solstice festivities, Happy Saturnalia to one and all

Hehe! Yes! We start pulling out the Christmas on Thanksgiving weekend as we usually have family coming and they love helping, especially finding a tree.

December 20th! There is nothing wrong with that. I bet you have Christmas in your heart for the rest of the year. 😉 Saturnalia? Definitely not until December 17th! But, I don't mind celebrating early.

Celebrations are good for the soul!

Hi, @Grindle!!

I guess with Thanksgiving it is just one big celebration for you at this time of year!!

Clean and sharp. I really like your photos.

Thank you. Why don't I know you? I see you have been here for five years.

It's a conational of mine, dear @dswigle, he writes very well but more about crypto and a new world and order (which I am not at all comfortable with). That's probably why you haven't come across his posts.

Thanks, Dan! I was wondering why.

Yes, of course. You're welcome!

Yay! 🤗

Thanks for coming. Have a great night!

I so love all the decors Ms. Denise. Just like here in my country, Philippines which started on the first day of September. Christmas songs will be heard all throughout the country. Now that Christmas is drawing nigh you can feel the merriment on the air more.
Happy that I came to your post and learn more about you unlike in the noise.cash we can only do micro posts. I am not that active here in hive though but I will try my best now to stay active and enjoy reading all your posts too.
Happy holidays Ms. @dswigle.

And we're all very glad you're back!

Welcome back dear mam, missed you so much around. So good to see your post and also see you back. Sounds you are very excited about upcoming Christmas and these images are so wonderful. I loved the decoration, sparky and shiny decorations. Wish you are fine over there. Have a blessed week. Stay blessed! ❤️🤗💕❤️

I am home again! Thank you. The Christmas season is my favorite time of year. Everything seems soft and beautiful, glittery and happy. Are there parts of the country that celebrate Christmas?

It was nice to get home! I missed all of you!

Blessings to you!

No dear we don't have Christmas celebration because we have a very few (most probably 1-2%) Christen peoplelive here so celebration is not as grand as yours. We celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha as Muslims and Hindu people are free to celebrate their worship several times in a year. There are very few community celebrate Christmas but have public holiday since childhood days for Christmas and we call its Boro Din in our language which means Big Day. Hope you have a grand xmas celebration this year. Have a wonderful day!

I didn't think so, but, the holiday has become so commercial that it circles much of the globe in its celebration. The Philippines start celebrating in September, all the way to December! I love it! :)

I do realize that the Eids are the largest celebration there, and it has passed a few months ago. I love that you get more than one celebration per year!

Boro Din. :) You have a name for the big Christian celebration. :) Now I know it. Thank you for that. :)

Have a wonderful rest of your day!
