I am not actually a very big spender (not that I really have much money to spend anyways), neither am I extravagant when it comes to material or showy items, I just buy what I am comfortable with and what I feel to be really necessary. However, I do not waste time to spend a significant amount on certain things that really matter to me, things that bring joy and meaning to my life. I will just spill it here that I love food, I mean good food and I wouldn't mind splurging on dining at restaurants with great services, delicious meals and beautiful ambiance. I think it remains one of my greatest weaknesses!
I also love cooking at home, but trying to knock up healthy dishes doesn't come cheap in this part of my world, sometimes it requires sourcing for expensive ingredients. But I really do not mind, yeah, these are the things I do not mind splurging for, in fact, sharing a meal with family or trying some different kind of meal is one of the things I enjoy most.
Aside from food, though, a good deal of my resources goes into buying little gifts for people I cherish, countless times. For example, I have once bought a fine smartwatch for my sister as a birthday gift and even bought a close friend an expensive dress just to celebrate her day with her. This isn't exactly about the price tags, but the connections and appreciation they represent.
Of course, my biggest investments are my kids, no jokes. I have done and spent just so much for them that it is hard to even put into words but that's my responsibility. Every ounce of energy and the greatest chunk of the pennies I make, goes into making them happy and to secure for them the best possible opportunities, to have a fulfilling life. There is no joy comparable to seeing them gradually become their dreams.
Suffice it to say that I do not pump my money into extravagant or luxurious stuffs but I can be generous with the little things that matter, experiences, connections, and people whom I love the most.
I tell ya I'm not averse to having lots of money though and when I do get there, perhaps a trip round the world would be the most expensive I may have to splurge on!
