I'm not feeling 100% today and I have an opticians appointment later so I need to take a quick stab at Day 55 of The 100 Day Project so I can take a rest later.
I didn't have the energy to walk around the attic looking for ideas but, fortunately, my altered book was sitting on my desk so I decided to take the piles of mixed media pieces I'd created yesterday and work on one of the spreads I'd previously started.
The background is just torn up book pages with interesting print on them to which I added some of the torn up papers.
I'm happy with the result.
As always not sure how I will develop it further so I can call it done. Maybe I'll add a pocket or some words . . .

Bits of the past....
I bought a book for a journal or practice book or whatever it turns out to be. I haven't started anything in it yet and I'm not sure when I will, but it is here when the notion hits me.
I wondered if people ever use parts of their journals on future projects.
I've seen people use parts of their journals on other projects but then there are so many different types of journals and so many uses so there's no one answer. The only parts I used so far have been ephemera that were created specifically for journaling so were always intended for removal but also to be returned. 😁
Well.... I'll have to educate myself on how many types of journals there can be. LOL !!
I knew there was one called a junk journal. I've heard in videos and heard you say it before.
I have also watched some videos while others were creating in their own journals that I'm sure weren't considered junk ! So however many more of them there are. I have no clue at this moment.
I spent months making a junk journal for a friend for Christmas. I've got a video of it somewhere. Maybe I'll make a post about it when #the100dayproject is finished. It was a lot of fun and I have at the back of my mind to make one for my kids and possibly one for another friend for her birthday.
It wasn't really made of junk though but I've seen some really creative ones that were literally made of trash.
There's the altered book I play around in the story of which arguably deserves a blog post and there's my art journal that I used when starting out with mixed media.
Then they are smash journals and bullet journals. The latter has a whole industry built around them and a global challenge a bit like #the100dayproject although I think it's much less fluid that the others.
I googled bullet journal because the name wasn't obvious what it was. Ok.. now I know and I can't ever imagine doing one. LOLOL ....but then, minds are made to be changed, right ?
I'm with you. it's not a thing I can ever imagine doing either. B O R I N G!!!
Greetings @gillianpearce ,
