Sort:  

'Lily borer' moth (Brithys crini pancratii) get into the stems and leaves they party throughout the garden. Bulbs underground dormant during winter I do not think much else. Slugs/snails sometimes enjoy the leaves but not as destructive.

your borer could be our beetle, bright red in colour , little bastards!

Ours are black and white/yellow worms wriggling around from plant to plant, destructive hungry little buggers.

nasty, they ruin such lovely and fragrant plants.
