Hello, Silver Bloggers!
Here we are again to showcase another bunch of posts from our Silver Bloggers - it's that time when we share some of your gems.
We appreciate your posts in the community so as long as we have posts from our Silver Bloggers we will try to highlight some of them.
But first, let me tell you how we selected the posts.
Selection criteria
All the posts are chosen from posts in the community, and from accounts that have subscribed to the Silver Bloggers' community. Also, the topic must fit in with our general themes as set out on our community page -
- a keenness to learn more about blockchain and crypto
- life experiences
- musings and memories of lives lived
- planning for (and doing) life beyond formal work
Posts that are a response to #BOM and #SilverPrompts or any contest in the community are not considered.

I remember when I was a teenager, I used to keep even the wrapper of a chocolate given to me by a friend, or an admirer, or someone in the family, and I would put the date, time and place of the gift.

At this age I have continued to cultivate the enjoyment of very simple things. I love to feel the silence and solitude in the mountains near my home. And although I can no longer climb as high as I used to, I still have enough energy to reach the places where the noise of the city is replaced by the soft murmur of the breeze and the singing of the birds. Being in that environment for even a few minutes is enough to completely renew my mood.
Old New Feelings? Exams Experience

This has made me reflect... It does not matter how many years pass, if you have motivation and interest, the brain continues to work, you are still you, I am still that studious girl who got good marks in the exams. I have mentally visualized good results and I have achieved them, I feel good, as if I have recovered a part of me lost in time.

I have already said many times why I was named Nancy (no, it was not because of the French city), but what I have said very little is that because of my size, I am 1.58 m tall and the smallest of my siblings, I often had to deal with “nicknames” that alluded to my short stature. For example, I could be called “miniature chewing gum” (a candy from the 80's), apple tree gum and even matchbox. But among the nicknames I remember most is “La pulga” (the flea).

Sometimes I feel it is getting old having to gather greens every day for Rudy. But when I put them in his cage and he hops over to me and I can pet him, I am filled with joy for him, and all of my not wanting to gather the greens go away.

Remember the telephone from our time ? Not many of the younger generation had the privilege of that feeling of getting a call from a friend at that time. The call charges were not in affordable range to speak for long time, so even though the desire was there to talk more, we had to limit ourselves, as a little higher bill would invite a ban. The time has changed, we have free calls, but life has kept us so occupied that we hardly speak on a regular basis.
