Hello beautiful community, I haven't posted for a long time and these days are favorable to find topics to do so and what better than to talk about Christmas and all its food and customs.

The Christmas holidays are the best, but today I want to talk to you about the day after the holiday: International Reheated Day. Yes, we have that day that everyone enjoys. On January 25th and 1st we get up late, we open the refrigerator and we see those exquisite dishes that delighted our palates the night before, but that day you don't want to cook anything or do anything, because they only have to put a plate full of all that food that you saw in the fridge in the microwave to reheat it, and that's it.

The charm of reheating is that you don't have to prepare any dish, nor work a lot to make the food, nor wait a long time to eat, just heat it up and eat. How easy isn't it? After a day of partying, you went to bed in the early morning, you wake up still sleepy, there is the microwave that calls you to put a plate of food and reheat it. And it tastes just like the day you ate it yesterday, doesn't it?

I love all the Christmas dishes, those prepared at home like Hallacas, chicken salad, pernil and those we buy like Pan de Jamon. Of the sweets, there is the Limonzon, lecheza and the cake or fruit cake with añejo. The Cream Ponche drinks, the wines and the soda drinks are the only ones that are bought because the rest is made at home with the whole family.

Christmas is the time when we waste all our skills in gastronomy and we want to show off with our dishes saying that ours are the best, everyone has their own style and taste and that has to be respected. All the dishes, even if they vary in their ingredients, are magnificent because they are impregnated with the love that we put into them and that is why they come out with very good results.

Well, I hope you had a comforting International Reheating Day and that this coming January 1st is also very successful for all of you. MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A PROSPEROUS YEAR 2025.

Hahaha 🤣🤣 we don't have that international reheating day on January 1st here in Indonesia. But we do have our National Reheating and cookie jar hugging week😅 yeah 7 days in total after the Eid's (we have 2 Eid's to celebrate every year)

Thank you for sharing your favorite foods to eat, the cakes.. is that banana cake?

Cookie reheating day ?, sounds interesting. Look at everything you learn about the cultures of other countries. No friend, that is a black cake but with few ingredients since it has nuts. But it still turned out very tasty.

International Reheated Day

Haha, what a great idea! I guess what we call Boxing Day (26 December) would be our reheating day, or often you would have cold roast meats and the potatoes and vegetables fried together.

Love the picture of all the family around the table.

Yes friend, my family used to be larger, but now those are the ones who are together. Christmas is that, sharing with family. Yes, the day after Christmas no one wants to do anything, so the food is reheated and eaten and many times it is tastier than the day it was prepared.
