The two of us share a similar view in the types of people we try to avoid having opinionated conversations with. I don't like to talk topical issues with anybody who can't accept that my opinion also has validity.
My curse here is that I have a son, who I love dearly, that leans heavily to the right while my views are very moderate. I can't not talk to him and current events often come up in our conversations. Needless to say, we have had very heated arguments with each other. I guess the saving grace in that situation is the love. We always calm down eventually and agree to disagree.
