RE: A happy easter feast for the volunteers.

Life most definitely has changed, words or acts of kindness still found in many, it truly is sad the few make life difficult leaving one suspicious of all.

Feeding those in need be it nourishment or development of young minds, always rewarding to do a little where one is able.

!LUV to the team, may people appreciate all you do for them even if they never know who it is.

That same few that you are talking about has also caused great damage to the charity name, as it has made things so much more difficult for our work. Mistrust due to being ripped off has turned many good souls away from helping and supporting.
We are requested to complete a briefcase full of forms with evidence of our work and financials for the government every year end. If something is wrong, then one gets blacklisted, Papillon has over the 22 years thus far never been blacklisted, simply because we have a good independent registered auditor.

But in government they can steal as much as they want and get away with it. Sucks doesn't it.

Yep, feeding short term and development long term.

They say that one person will sow the seed, but he will never sit in the shade of the tree that he planted. Others will sit in it and that is the sowers reward.
Thank you for the !LUV Lady Joan.

Doing the best one can keeping in line where possible with too many laws imposed, keep up the good work.

Many churches work into the feeding program here, as individuals we support SPCA and CROW. Large projects most have been requested to support Gift of the Givers knowing the funding is going to the cause it is raised for.

Just a pity that such a bad example is set for us. Billions disappear with no trace, and it's simply called irregular expenditure. I read about a probe into the emergency water tanker tenders in KZN, and it is alleged that corruption occurred Sunday Times newspaper.

Gift of the Givers are doing great work and some churches are also running feeding schemes here. Papillon partners with a non-profit that feeds children at 21 schools.
I so wish that the churches would combine their feeding efforts, as that could help so many more.
SPCA and CROW are also good to support.

Money is stolen hand over fist all the time with Municipalities and the mob ruling currently. When you see a well run region the people appear to understand why they were voted in, most support them in their efforts.

Such is life here and nothing will improve unless the doors are opened for everyone to work together.
We can make this a great country if the racial issues are removed.

Differences placed by people be it racial, tribal, rich or poor never appear to find middle ground to selectively say we are South African no matter!

That's why it is so essential for everyone that was born in this country to be accepted as full South Africans. Only then in acceptance and respect can things be improved.
