How did you get your first job?Greetings to everyone in the @silverbloggers community, this is my first participation in this Memory Monday initiative by @ericvancewalton. Today I want to share my story on the main topic

When I was studying I always thought about what I wanted my first job to be like, I said I was going to be a lawyer, but things didn't really turn out the way I had planned. I remember I lasted a long time without studying and then I entered the university to study education.

The truth is that my first job was not in education either; in my life there were strong obstacles where I had to go out to work long before graduating, since I had to be the breadwinner of my family after losing my father.

That was how a friend of mine who had a business dedicated to saddlery, which is working with leather, making saddles for horses and tools for these animals. Well, at that time she offered me to be in charge of that business, since she was dedicated to travel to place the merchandise in other states. I immediately accepted the job.

Like everything in life is an apprenticeship, here I learned to make leather furniture; of course that was not my job, but when I saw the workers doing it, I learned from them. With this first job I was able to earn income not only for my family, but I was able to finish my studies and get my first professional degree and after that, I did practice my career, which I am still practicing and I have been educating for 18 years.

This is my participation in this Memory Monday initiative and I take the opportunity to invite @kristal24, to tell us her story.

Hmm
I’m glad you accepted the job because it helped you to know how to make leather furniture and the likes
Apprenticeship is awesome especially when you get it for free just like yours
So it looked like you were learning and earning

Yes, it was really a great learning experience I had in that job, my friend.

A veces toca. Saludos bella amiga.

I got my first job when I was 10 or 11. My brother-in-law's family owned an orchard, so I would go door to door selling baskets of apples. I would usually come home with $5 or so, which was a lot for a 10 year old kid in 1980. It taught me the value of work and earning your own money, which I am grateful for.

You know, it's good to know that since you were little you were taught the value of work. That makes people successful in the future.

Thank you, Lisbeth. I appreciate your comment. :)

Thank you very much for the support

Your first job is a great help in reaching your dreams. Glad you accepted it.♥️

If so, it was a springboard to achieve one of my dreams, which was to graduate.

Tough times do come in our lives. Passing through them seems difficult but then they make us strong if we are ready to confront them

That's right; those were difficult times for me. But I know that I was prepared for this challenge that life gave me. I learned a lot from this and I know that this helped me to be what I am today with the family I have formed. Greetings
