El día sábado me tocaba ir a mis clases intensivas en la universidad, ahora me traslado en carros particulares hasta los lugares que debo asistir, es algo engorroso, pero luego de recordar que casi pierdo mis piernas me doy ánimo, todo se hace más llevadero. Este sábado en particular no pasaba ningún transporte que me llevara a mi destino, decidí irme para un parque que queda en mi ciudad, así es, me jubilé de clases, ese día por mandato divino siento que me tocaba escuchar a algunas personas.

Ese día me arreglé, tenía que entregar un pedido y luego ir a mis clases, pero todo cambió; necesitaba respirar aire puro salir un rato, cambiar de ambiente. Al llegar al parque pasé por el cafetín, disfruté de una malta, tequeños, luego comencé a caminar por el parque, siempre es grato ver a los señores que luchan con la naturaleza, esas personas que se encargan de mantener el parque impecable recogen las hojas, pasan ocho horas ejercitando sus brazos con ese ejercicio continuo, esto es admirable.

Al estar disfrutando de la naturaleza llegó un señor, era un señor respetuoso, pero se sentía que necesitaba desahogarse, quería contar su historia de vida, saludó muy amablemente, luego de decir que estaba en ese parque ya que estaban celebrando el cumpleaños de su nieto, que el papá del niño estaba en otro país. Luego de contar todo lo del día, pues, llegó el momento de hablar de su vida. Es el menor de once hermanos, al ser el último eso lo llenó de tristeza, no tenía mucha atención de sus padres, se sentía solo y eso lo llevó a pasar por situaciones dolorosas, su vida fue un calvario desde los doce años hasta los 29 años que decide salir del mundo oscuro donde estaba. Tiene una hermosa familia, tiene a su esposa y sus tres hijos.

Aprovechó para decirme que, a la escultura de la negra Hipólita, la nana de nuestro Simón Bolívar, tuvieron que pintarle, aunque sea las uñas de algún color, seguro que el artista tiene otra perspectiva sobre esa opinión, este señor decía que, aunque sea le pintaran su vestido para definirla, pero muy en el fondo siento que cada uno de nosotros tendrá su versión al ver esta escultura. Le dije que seguro el artista quería resaltar toda la esencia de esta señora haciendo toda la obra de un solo color, quizá no había otro color. Luego se sentaron otras personas en este asiento que compartieron sus historias, compartí parte de mi vida y recibí mucho afecto. También se sentó una chica por bastante rato y entre su silencio se sentía su gran preocupación que se suavizó al ver a su familia llegar. En ocasiones debemos cambiar nuestra rutina nos sorprenderemos de todo lo que vamos a experimentar.
Siempre pensaré que podemos aprender de todos los seres que se nos acerquen a contar sus historias, nos fortaleceremos y encontraremos nuestra misión en la vida. Me encanta escuchar y con una sonrisa suavizar algunas emociones perturbadoras de nuestros semejantes. El adulto mayor necesita ser escuchado, todos necesitamos ser escuchados.
