RE: Everything's Moving Too Fast! - PART ONE.

The telephone; I think my Granny was one of the few who had one. Neighbours' family would call if there were urgent messages (usually illness or death.
And the telephone booth! How did we get a message to our parents if it was out of order? Walk another mile/kilometers!
Books - I also love the smell of them, new or old. I'll never forget the smell of my first school suitcase - those hard ones - and the smell of new school books and stationary, sharpening the pencil.
And the television- I was married when it came to SA in the 70s only. We didn't have one at first, used to drive to my parents 15km away to watch The Thorn Birds, and later on Dallas😉 What a luxury when we had our own TV!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful trip down memory lane with us🙌Hi @stevenwood, I so know this world you're talking about, brilliantly brought to life with your words!
