When I was given the paperwork by my doctor to apply for a handicap license plate for my car, I refused to send it in. I did not want to be driving around town advertising that I was considered handicapped. I was given a little hanging tag that I could put on the mirror of my car when I needed to park in a handicap spot near the door, but as soon as I came back out of the store I took it down off my mirror.
I made it through a lot of days by remembering to look around and realizing that there were so many people who had it far worse than I did. Counting my blessing has always got me through to the next day

Yes isnt that crazy, others would love to have those parking licenses. In fact this card can be very helpful in some situations and I will have to learn see it this way.
