This time I participate in the memories of Monday number 16.
When I was a child I thought, as did perhaps most of the inhabitants of my country, as parents and teachers used to tell us at that time, study so that you can get a good job and have a good salary. With this kind of thinking this is how we grew up, I was born in 1963 and my schooling time started in 1970.
Good start of the week for everyone, the #memoirmonday edition is over and @EricVanceWalton invites us to participate in those Monday proposals that for some reason we were not present.Good grades, good behavior, outstanding in sports and so on until I graduated from high school, the country continued as I thought as a child, walking, flowing in the face of what was coming, something like following a model.
My country from the political model that was lived in that time for more than 40 years (or 40 years exactly) told us that we could prosper with the salary we earned, as long as we had a good head and we were disciplined, constant with what we wanted. So, back to the subject, many of us grew up, professionals or not, the opportunities were always there.
The first thing we had in mind was a house of our own because our parents had achieved it...as children we could not be left behind, we had to look for our own space but we had to make it our own (we grew up with this thought).

From about 1998 onwards changes began at a political level and of course everything that involves the system also began to change, a drastic change from how we used to live to how we began to live.
The first years it was not so noticeable, in my thoughts I had the idea of leaving the country when my children were still children, which I did not do ... at that time perhaps it would not have been that forced departure, it would have been a little slow (not like what was experienced in the years 2016 to our days.
The change has been radical in matters of laws, policies, rules, a large number of people were linked with that thought, another number of people we stayed with our thoughts of freedom, bring calm to our homes, not to allow certain injustices, in the end there are so many changes that we are advancing in age and I think I like my house, I do not want to leave. The reality is very hard nowadays from the financial point of view and social projects.
Many still live in the past, the past was better, I feel that we have had to be very resilient in the face of so many downturns that we have had to face.
As it has come to be defined this is a cold war, of thoughts, of drowning us with its force before the form as they dispose and impose the laws.
When we begin to take a breath, something else comes down. Yes, life in my country has changed a lot, as retirees who were waiting for golden years with better opportunities, it is another panorama.

Generations growing up without knowing what our country was like before all this, because even this has been taken care of by changing history.
It is a hard work for all of us who stay in our country, those who left and return have to come back strengthened to be able to stay with joy, attitude to continue that life that we want to live despite what we face with the changes we live.
