Like Yin and Yang! Yo uare lucky to have known both, I knew neither of mine. Things were rough in the central belt of Scotland back in the day!

Just sheer poverty and poor living conditions. Glasgow and the central belt of Scotland was not the best for long lived lives back then. Its better now but was terrible back in the day
Then it's doubly sad :( Well, it remains in our power to become grandfathers so that our children can get this useful experience of communicating with elderly relatives. I think you will be a very cool old man, a summer grandpa ;)

Oh, can I ever identify with that. :) Some people are so easy to love; others, so challenging! And in the end, it often seems, those hardest to love taught us the most.
