Certainly some of us might remember these little cars.
One of the UK's most successful cars with a long history.
I will show you two of them today in original condition. I think the owners must have bought them new in the 1950s. Both of the cars in here are in pristine condition and one can see that much love was spent on them by the owners. The cars have an interesting history as they were one of the UK's most successful production runs and many were sold in the 40's and 50's.
It was the first British car to sell over a million units.
The Morris Minor is a British economy family car that made its debut at the Earls Court Motor Show, London, on 20 September 1948. Designed under the leadership of Alec Issigonis, more than 1.6 million were manufactured between 1948 and 1972 in three series: the MM (1948 to 1953), the Series II (1952 to 1956), and the 1000 series (1956 to 1971).
Initially available as a two-door saloon and tourer (convertible), the range was expanded to include a four-door saloon in 1950, a wood-framed estate car (the Traveller) from October 1953 and panel van and pick-up truck variants from May[6] 1953. It was the first British car to sell over a million units, and is considered a classic example of automotive design, as well as typifying "Englishness".

My ex brother in law had two mini panel vans, one for him and one for his wife to cart their 3 kids around in the back.
In the 80s I worked on the stainless steel plants of the dairies and me and a Russian colleague decided to start our own business, offering our skills to all of the dairies in our country and neighboring countries.
Our company car was a Mini Minor that he owned. The newer square model mini and we also did the rush jobs packing two large gas welding bottles into that little mini.
Then we also had the tools in the mini and you can imagine two big guys traveling more than 100 kilometers in that that little loaded car.
I really have a lot of respect for these little cars.
And That's All friends.

Thank you @papilloncharity always enjoy your posts. Have an awesome blessed day.
Those little cars are just so cool @papilloncharity 😊
The condition of the one in your photo is pristine.
I had not one of these, but I had 4 classic mini’s, from different years. They ranged from 999cc to a 1.3i. The oldest was from 1984 and the newest was one of the last ones of the belt from 12-2000
Love those little cars. I fixed them up myself too… 😊
Everything classic car related I love 🥰
Thanks for sharing and have a great Saturday.
My last one.
I am glad that we have so many classic and antique cars here and I have done a few posts of them in the past. The mini that we had was a 70s or 80s model and it served us well.
Great that you had so many and always better if you can fix them yourself.
The one in your photo looks great.

Pretty cool to see classic cars, just love them.
Will have to do some posts myself about them very soon @papilloncharity
The mini in the photo was a Rover mini 1000cc from 1990 and I had it from 2010 until last December so almost 12 years.
Thanks 😎

Same here and I look forward to your posts my friend.
Ah a Rover Mini. I don't think that we had them here in our country, but I will try to find out.
You certainly have much experience with the mini cars. Respect.

Thank you kindly @papilloncharity 😊
Cool to look into.
I once… in January 2015 in snow/ ice and freezing temperatures, emigrated in my Classic Mini from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 to Spain 🇪🇸 Better temperatures the further south I got.
Driving 2630 km in 5 days with it. Sleeping behind the steering wheel at petrol stations hahaha
That was an adventure I will post one day too. You truly get to know your little car…
Driving up mountains just 30 km/h and trucks taking you over hehehehe as it was to steep for her (my car) but we made it and I’m still in Spain, for now 😉

.Someone near me still drives their Morris Minor around. I see it now and then. I wonder how many are still out there.
So nice to see them on the road. We have a few here in our province, but I have no idea how many are still around. Although there are still many of the old VW Beetles around.
Wow those cars are impeccable, my dad also has a car from the 40s and they are still the same although he lacks the tires because he couldn't buy them again and they wanted to buy it and he doesn't want to sell it hehehehe old things hahaha greetings
Thank you and what kind of car does your dad have?
What I do know is that tires for old cars are expensive and good that he hangs onto his old car, as the value increases every year.

My dad has a Ford Falcon
Ah! The Ford Falcon was a great car and I saw one here a while ago that they converted into a hot rod!
If my father has not wanted to sell it, he is standing there wanting it to circulate but it is difficult there
Oh yeah, there are so many problems in life for all of us.
The same as that of the same color, only that is not because I am no longer in Venezuela so obviously I cannot take a photo of his car hehehe but that is the model
Oh what memories. My Dad had a larger version, in bottle green, know it was a Morris, but not the smaller Morris minor. When in my early 20s, me and my husband had a traveller. We went away in that loafs of times, and made a bed, in the back with the seat down.
My Dad's car had green leather seats, and, it's the only time I ever felt travel sick. The mixture of Mums smoking and the smell of the leather, oh boy. However, you brought back some lovely memories for me. Thank you.
Yes, I see in the replies that many had experiences with the little Morris Mini cars and they have a good history. I know that Austin also got onto the bandwagon, but they did not perform as well as the Morris cars.
Amazing how you remember the smell of smoke and leather :)
Glad that I could bring back some memories for you.
