No, I did not know that. I am still deciding in what way, if at all, I am going to invest any time in learning about all these new AI options everywhere around us. That they are inevitably a part of our future seems self-evident. That "It's all good!
is not.
At least not to this Silver Blogger.
hehe AI has been with us for over 50 years, it is nothing new, it is just much more mainstream now is my take. If something helps me then I will use it, but I don't like it and never have done. Remember the hundreds of thousands of jobs lost due to robots on the factory line, it has been going on for fluffing years and I am pretty sure they will take us over soon enough, just hopefully after I am gone!
Sure, there has been a comparatively primitive form of automation for a long time. And, yes, increasing automation of mundane tasks and processes has been a specific target.
Maybe we can agree, though, that is nothing like what is being projected as being just around the corner, time-wise.
I have had my version of similar thoughts years ago. At the rate of progress today, though, barring some unfortunate accident, we are likely to witness it firsthand. Along with the consequences to those near and dear.
What will be will be. More worrying to me is what havoc Putin Trump and Xi Jinping will throw down on us!
Understood. I actively try, with varying degrees of success on any given day, to stay focused on what I have any influence or control over. I let the rest get, as much as I can manage it. While nothing is perfect, I certainly do better maintaining this mindset today than used to be the case.
