Merry Christmas to all the classics and legends of the community. I want to share with you what the title of my content contains. At 63 years old, I planned to be swinging in my hammock (a kind of hanging bed very common in the Caribbean, made of natural fibers and tied between two trees) but the political situation in my country, Venezuela, forced me to emigrate 5 years ago, leaving behind 50 years of my life and facing an uncertain future with only two suitcases.
Being in different countries, I had to do everything to survive. I worked in various jobs, always looking for the positive and trying to find a balance between what I was in my country and what I had to do abroad. One of the biggest obstacles was my age: I had to compete with much younger people. Looking for work options, I came across digital technology, which until then was outside my world, except for using WhatsApp or writing emails.
My research stage on social networks and opportunities to generate income online began. A world of possibilities opened up to me, but at first it was overwhelming to process so much information. I became discouraged on several occasions until I decided to seek help to guide me. That's how I began to organize my ideas and understand the world of the internet.
As a publicist and broadcaster, I created a podcast where I narrated book summaries, biographies, and stories. Then I tried audiobooks and finally opened my YouTube channel. I have also worked doing voices for artificial intelligence on virtual work platforms, as a virtual assistant, and teaching Spanish.
I want to tell all those contemporary people to dare to reinvent themselves. We have the time, maturity, and experience to do it. Create your own channel and talk about whatever you want, be yourself. You can't imagine the number of people who need wise advice or want to share their experiences. Take care of yourselves.

I think the older we get we should embrace technology and do all you say!
