In seventies the materialistic world does not matter at all
Today I took my parents for meeting with old friends to refresh their memories
This was the meet for 1968 batch matriculation(10th grade) from the school that was started by just one person. He sacrificed his life to start this school because there was no school nearby. My father and mother belonged to the same place, and both completed their matriculation from this same school. Though this meet was for my mother' batch on 1968 , we took my father there to refresh some of his memories and meet with people. He was the eldest person in the meeting and was honored with the presiding sit, unveiling books from authors who are mom's friends. Everyone knows my father and his family there - my father's elder brother was the first batch of matriculation from this school being the top scorer. They have so much of attachment that, they donate a lot for the betterment of education in the area - my father being a big advocate of education for all.
The school has changed a lot - thanks to recent initiative by the government where the government funds equal amount to the school based on what people donate. Mom was very happy to see it after couple of decades.
I was amazed at the enthusiasm of Mom to go for this meet. It's always good to see them active and these are the memories that will keep them fresh for long time. And since my father was not going out a lot, it was a perfect opportunity to take him to meet with people - that may help his mental conditions.
For the most part I was the photographer, but I enjoyed the feelings that everyone shared - it makes us realize to see the life ahead of us. Apart from the rural ambience, I did not miss the opportunity to get some fresh vegetables and sweets on our way.
Though I have been tired physically, it gives me immense pleasure to take my parents for their pleasure - which they always did when we were kids.

your mom is looking very pretty in the picture and its awesome to see these kinds of posts from your side which used to motivate the people who forget the values of friends and family @sanjeevm thanks a lot for providing such beautiful blog
It's a different kind of happiness to see them happy - may be our children will learn from this or not but at least it will cherish my memories when they are not with us.
Refreshing memories is one of the best experience . In my school , all the teacher been retired and replaced with new one but the place is evergreen for me where i feel too fresh .
That is awesome when you carry cauliflower in your hand in bunch. Raddish white and red look so fresh to mood me for cooking some delicacies.🙂
It was real fun - they are sold at that place at very cheap price - when it comes to my place the price is 4 times. I told my wife to make some paratha using those fresh radish - will post about it.
All relationships are important in life and so equal are friends. Good friends help us through tough times, keep us happy, guide when we are wrong, help us live it to the most and make our life worth living.
These photos transmit us a lot of history behind them, the truth is that time and life goes by very fast and sometimes we don't even realize it. I am sure that for your parents, this moment was very special, the people, the structure and the changes that have been made since they were younger!
It's so true - I have started now going back to my old days and dedicating time for it. I am sure, we will not live as long as our parents.
Everyone should have to learm with you to take care of the parents.... We all have to see all phases of life nothing is permanent
The vegitables looks fresh and that sweet which is presemted at last is one of my favourate sweet and also avilable in our local market...
Thanks a lot for sharing such a beautiful post and i think we have everyone have to learn through this post that we will always have to take care of our elders @sanjeevm bcz at their time they sacrifices a lot for us
The vegetables look very fresh. It looks really awesome to see so many radishes being sold together. At the end I was very greedy to see Rasgolla. Because rasgolla is one of my favorite foods. Honestly, such friendships are seldom found in school life. These friends are the most precious thing in our lives. You've photographed some beautiful moments.
This is really a very old school. It is also very beautiful. It must have changed over time. You have taken very good pictures.
