todos los lunes., deseo la estén pasando muy bien, esta es mi primera participación con ustedes, voy a dejar mis memorias en esta propuesta, que nos hace @ericvancewalton,
En el pueblo donde vivo, a pesar de tener un río casi frente a mi casa, se siente el sol y el calor fuerte, y adaptarnos a este clima no ha sido cosa fácil, sin embargo, tratamos de vivir tranquilos rodeados de un clima natural que viene acompañado de fuerte sol y calor. Para mí es una gran bendición haber nacido frente a orillas de las majestuosas aguas apureñas, es una ventaja que no tiene todo el mundo, pero que desde muy niña amé y sigo amando, estar frente a ese río inmenso.
Tengo toda una vida viviendo frente a esta hermosura, si me preguntaran donde me gustaría nacer si la vida me diera otra oportunidad de volver, pediría fuese donde mismo, frente al rio Apure.
Vivir frente de esas hermosas aguas, con un río que tiene aproximadamente una longitud de 820 km y un puente que une los estados con medidas aproximadas de medio kilómetro (500) es algo maravilloso, desde muy niña amaba cruzar ese puente con mi madre y padre para llegar al estado Apure.
Cuando tenía diez años de edad recuerdo con claridad, que mi papá siempre nos sacaba a pasear por las orillas del río, escuchar sus consejos todo el tiempo donde, nos decía: «no salgan solos porque puede ser peligroso, hay caimanes, si se caen al agua podría agarrarlos un caribe, los muerde», en fin, muchas anécdotas que recuerdo con claridad, fue un ambiente bonito y agradable, vivíamos rodeados de peligros por tener tan cerca el rio, pero entre hermanos y vecinos nos cuidábamos siempre, tremenduras de muchachos que nunca faltaban como ir a pescar y luego correr a pedir ayuda.
Fue una infancia feliz, donde las cosas que nos pasaban, pudimos ver ahora de adultos, que la mano de Dios estuvo presente siempre para cuidarnos de: culebras de agua, caribes, chorroscos, babos, una serie de animales peligrosos que siempre nos asustaban.
Cómo disfrutamos de niños, rodeados de peligros que uno de muchacho como que ni el miedo conoce.
La niñez es la mejor etapa que podemos vivir: paseos, juegos, diversión, y un cúmulo de recuerdos que jamás olvidaremos esos momentos jugando con mis hermanos y con mis vecinos, que eran como familia.
Una etapa hermosa que pasó a ser parte de esa vida de niña, rodeada de un ambiente agradable de donde el calor era el que mandaba. Contamos con solo dos estaciones que son verano e invierno, que gran ventaja el no tener que estar encerrados por que el clima no nos permite salir, cada vez que podíamos, salíamos a orillas del rio a pescar y correr como locos, con un perro que teníamos llamado "SATURNO", era un perro negro muy hermoso, esa mascota murió picado por una culebra.
Me cuenta mi madre que ese perrito me libro de ser yo a la que picara la serpiente, él ladraba y ladraba sin parar, cuando veía la culebra escondida detrás de mi, y cuando vio a mi madre le señaló con sus patitas lo que había detrás.
El verano es una estación fuerte, y con el pasar de los años el calor igual se fue poniendo más intenso, por ser una zona llanera donde el sol pega directamente y la sensación térmica suele estar a una temperatura mayor a 37° pero todo es cuestión de ir adaptándose.
Aunque no nos acostumbramos a las fuertes olas de calor, también tenemos la temporada de invierno,esa la aprovechamos de niños y jugábamos bajo la lluvia, corriendo, colocándonos debajo de los techos para mojarnos, y no nos enfermamos nunca por eso, disfrutamos mucho de la lluvia, cada temporada fue bien vivida.
Ya de adulta siendo abuela de siete hermosos niños, siempre que los llevamos de paseo al río les aconsejamos no acercarse mucho al agua por los peligros que puedan encontrar, cuando les digo esas cosas, recuerdo a mis padres haciendo lo mismo conmigo hace muchos años atrás. Los niños disfrutan estos paseos pero en compañía de sus padres o con su abuela.
Mis nietos aman esos paseos, cuando se forma una enorme playa de arena, a ellos les gusta correr, y jugar en la arena, disfrutan los juegos se bañan en nuestras majestuosas aguas, solo si están con compañía de sus padres. Los cuidados y consejos nunca faltan, vi tantos muchachos perder la vida, por no saber nadar ni ver los peligros que pueden existir en las aguas, y aunque les cueste creerlo, disfruto de esas maravillas que Dios nos ha dado, solo con paseos y caminatas, pero no me meto al agua, y mucho menos intento nadar, por ese refrán que dice "líbrame de las aguas mansas" mejor es cuidarse y cuidar a los niños nunca se sabe los peligros que puedan estar ocultos debajo del agua.

In the town where I live, despite having a river almost in front of my house, you can feel the sun and the strong heat, and adapting to this climate has not been easy. However, we try to live peacefully surrounded by a natural climate that is accompanied by strong sun and heat. For me it is a great blessing to have been born on the banks of the majestic waters of Apure. It is an advantage that not everyone has, but that I loved from a very young age and continue to love, being in front of that immense river.
I have lived my whole life in front of this beauty. If I were asked where I would like to be born if life gave me another opportunity to return, I would ask for it to be right there, in front of the Apure River.
Living in front of those beautiful waters, with a river that is approximately 820 km long and a bridge that connects the states with approximate measurements of half a kilometer (500) is something wonderful, since I was a little girl I loved crossing that bridge with my mother and father to get to the state of Apure.
When I was ten years old I clearly remember that my father always took us for a walk along the banks of the river, listening to his advice all the time where he told us: "don't go out alone because it can be dangerous, there are alligators, if you fall into the water a Carib could grab you, it will bite you", in short, many anecdotes that I remember clearly, it was a nice and pleasant environment, we lived surrounded by dangers because we were so close to the river, but between brothers and neighbors we always looked after each other, tremendous things that boys never missed like going fishing and then running to ask for help.
It was a happy childhood, where the things that happened to us, we could see now as adults, that the hand of God was always present to protect us from: water snakes, Caribs, jetscos, babos, a series of dangerous animals that always scared us.
How we enjoyed ourselves as children, surrounded by dangers that as a boy one does not even know fear.
Childhood is the best stage we can live: walks, games, fun, and a wealth of memories that we will never forget, those moments playing with my brothers and my neighbors, who were like family.
A beautiful stage that became part of my life as a child, surrounded by a pleasant environment where the heat was the one that ruled. We have only two seasons, summer and winter, what a great advantage not having to be locked up because the weather does not allow us to go out, every time we could, we went out to the river banks to fish and run like crazy, with a dog we had called "SATURNO", he was a very beautiful black dog, that pet died bitten by a snake.
My mother tells me that that little dog saved me from being the one bitten by the snake, he barked and barked non-stop, when he saw the snake hiding behind me, and when he saw my mother he pointed out with his little paws what was behind her.
Summer is a tough season, and over the years the heat has become more intense, because it is a plains area where the sun hits directly and the thermal sensation is usually higher than 37°, but it is all a matter of adapting.
Although we do not get used to the strong heat waves, we also have the winter season, which we took advantage of as children and played in the rain, running, standing under the roofs to get wet, and we never got sick because of it, we really enjoyed the rain, each season was well lived.
As an adult and grandmother of seven beautiful children, whenever we take them for a walk to the river we advise them not to get too close to the water because of the dangers they may encounter. When I tell them these things, I remember my parents doing the same thing with me many years ago. The children enjoy these walks but in the company of their parents or their grandmother.
My grandchildren love those walks, when a huge sandy beach is formed, they like to run and play in the sand, they enjoy the games and bathe in our majestic waters, only if they are with their parents. Care and advice are never lacking, I saw so many children lose their lives, for not knowing how to swim or see the dangers that can exist in the waters, and although it is hard for them to believe, I enjoy those wonders that God has given us, only with walks and hikes, but I do not get into the water, and much less try to swim, because of that saying that says "deliver me from calm waters" it is better to take care of yourself and take care of the children, you never know what dangers may be hidden under the water.
