We had a telephone for about three months until the bill came in and a TV for about the same time for the same reason. I remember you could rent re-furbished TVs much more cheaply than the new ones, and I did in my first bedsit, even though the colour was only in the yellow orange range 😂. I don't have a TV at all now, too many other things to do. I'm even going back to reading (and buying) real books.
Lovely to see you writing, hope you're feeling so much better in every way ❤️.
Well hello Smiley lady awesome to see you! 😎
Yes I did want to mention the whole getting the phone cut off OR worse still, the TV repossessed by Radio Rentals, the big company I remember, I saw both of course as did many of us in those days 😂
Alas, as ever, I realised I was far too many words deep all too soon.
But I gotta say it feels wonderful, I mean really bloody wonderful to be filling the white space with my jumbled thoughts again and a resounding yes, I am feeling better all the time, thank YOU so much.
JerrysStevens final thought: I remember watching snooker on a black and white 'portable' TV in my bedroom when we had one given as it was on the blink of course... Strangely they were only really portable if you had a tow truck to drag them from room to room!I hope you are doing truly great and wish all the very best, enjoy the books, there really is nothing like them! ❤️
