I think attitudes are changing and that can seem strange to our generation. Kids can see someone go from nothing to stardom in music or social media in a matter of months. Most older musicians had to slog for years to get anywhere. People expect quick riches from crypto, but is that really what it is for? Most things with value took time to build.
We are bombarded with images of people with fancy stuff and kids will want it now. Maybe they can if they put it on credit. That may bite them later. We've seen whole economies collapse due to greed and risky ventures.
I don't think it's universal though. My own kids work hard to make their own way and are not buying lots of stuff they can't afford.
It's interesting for sure. I don't think it is totally widespread, but there is definitely something being missed somewhere. For example, I know some people who have great work ethics, but if you don't pass that along, then what is going to happen with your kids? I can't imagine being a parent. It has to be hard, but I'd at least try.
Instant gratification.. spot on! People, and especially the newer generations, do want what they want and they want it NOW! lol.
I'd say it's some people and there were always those like that. Many realise you have to work for it.
