I've heard it said that the start of the year is not the best time to start new habits as the cold and dark can discourage some activities. I think you need some sort of reward for doing good things to make like enjoyable, so watch some videos and have a chocolate after a walk.

Thanks Steve. I have nothing against my watching videos per se. I just don't want to do it unconsciously like this morning. My intention was to get up and move around and I ended up sitting for another hour watching mindless crap without realising I was doing so. 😂
Same with the chocolate. I'm not going to stop eating it. I just don't want to mindlessly shove it into my mouth just because it's there.

I couldn't give up chocolate totally and don't intend to. Part of the reason for running is so I can have treats. My body is still not 100%, but I am easing myself back into exercise.
