I love to take macro pictures of all kind of little creachers that crawl arround in our garden, last week i finally got my new toy for that a macro lens with 2.5 up to 5x magnification .
here you see the camera and lens aimed at the Parsley with some aphids on it.
here you see the aphids on 2.5 magnification, the pringle chips can is used as a diffuyser to get the light from the flash where i want it :)
and this is what you see at 5x magnification
now aphids are pretty static subjects they don't move that much, hense the use of a tripod for this shoot, most insects are less cooperative and makes setting up a tripod kind of useless most of the times when shooting live subjects.
like this ant milking the aphids outside in the garden
or jumping spiders
crabspider on sunflower
or this tiny cicade on a mint leaf
out side the wind is biggest problem to deal with and the temperture , bets time to go for it is early in the morning when they still need to warm up from the cold night.
all images are taken by me with my sony cameras
Sony A6000 + Sigma105mm only used to take picture of the other camera ;)
Sony A7II + Laowa 25mm 2.5 - 5x magnification

this is the old setup my Sony A6000 + reversed rokkor 28mm lens but that had less magnification.
I've seen that hack before and always wanted to try but never got to until I lost my camera :D
