After we finish with the Pumpkins for decorations, my husband cuts them up and puts them out for the squirrels and the deer. This is the mother of the twin fawns born in early spring, and I can tell she is pregnant again. Yay, we will see babies next spring.
I caught the yearlings following the mother and crossing the backyard. The twins hopped over the fence and walked to where we put the pumpkins.
Can you see the little spiked horns on the male? He has two points on each horn.
He looks so cute and when he grows up he will be a handsome fellow.
The squirrels had been eating all the seeds from the pumpkins and I saw 7 of them this morning. Here you can see one of them vying for the seeds with the young female.
We got our first trace of snow this week, and now the deer really stand out. I will have to find some other treats for them to enjoy this winter. Have a great week everyone.
Until next time, this is Sunscape
Sun. Scape. Ing Your Day
The squirrels have made a mess of mine on the front steps. Why they couldn't have waited 5 more days I don't know. But mine are going to a friend with chickens and her friend with goats. I'm glad they aren't going to be composted. And I do NOT encourage the deer as they would come around and eat the fruit trees.
I know you can't encourage the deer, They do leave my stuff alone for the most part. I think we have an understanding, lol.
Oh! It’s sooo cuuuuute! 😻
I just love the deer when they come for treats. They know I feed them and visit often.
The deers are very cute and one can see them eating the pumpkin skin with relish.
Beautiful photography.
I appreciate that, thank you. I do love having the deer visit.
So sweet pics, dear Sunscape! ❤️
Awe, thank you, Silvia.
Now that is what I call a treat!
Great to see you giving those deer treats and I am pretty sure they will be regular visitors. Be great seeing them against the snow too!
