As I heard, they did something similar with my (Hungarian) language too. They "chased" the minorities for years. Some people may say that they brought the trouble on themselves. But actually they brought the trouble on innocent civilians, who have nothing to do with the dirty things of their government.
I believe Ukraine has the right to become an EU member state, but not with the current oppressive leadership. They should replace the current leadership.
