RE: Trying out vegan recipes: italian sausage bianca pizza

in Silver Bloggers3 days ago

A vegetarian pizza? Why not!
As the pizza very rarely gets its dominant flavour from the addition of meat/sausage, it can therefore be neglected. (The situation is slightly different with seafood and fish.) But basically, pizza thrives on tomatoes and herbs (basil and thyme, in particular). I wouldn't do with the tofu. I would definitely give the tofu, which has hardly any flavour of its own anyway and only gets it from flavourings, to my neighbour. Cheddar may be a tasty cheese, but it is not particularly suitable for pizza. Parmigiano Reggiano, Fior di Latte or mozzarella are more suitable. For the topping, I would certainly also use spinach/chard and fresh mushrooms (porcini, chanterelle or button mushroom). But as a base — always the savoury tomato sauce.

I'm inclined to agree 😍
