Black-necked stilt - eng/esp

Hello bird friends! Known as Cachiporra, (Himantopus mexicanus) on our island, this is one of the birds that stands out most on the coast because of its contrasting black and white plumage. The area I usually visit has several species of birds, but almost all with gray and white plumage that are visually unattractive. That is why I delight in this little bird when it shows up walking through the tidal flooded areas in search of insects, mollusks and small fish. Some signs of pollution can be seen in the photos, the human footprint is omnipresent in all ecosystems.

Hola amigos de las aves! Conocida como Cachiporra, (Himantopus mexicanus) en nuestra isla, esta es una de las aves que más destaca en la costa por los contrastes de su plumaje blanco y negro. La zona que yo suelo visitar posee varias especies de aves, pero casi todas con plumajes grises y blancos que son poco atractivos visualmente. Por eso me deleito con esta avecilla cuando se presenta caminando por las zonas inundadas por la marea en busca de insectos, moluscos y pequeños peces. Algunos signos de polución podrán observar en las fotos, la huella humana es omnipresente en todos los ecosistemas.
