Thank you for tagging me @wrestlingdesires. These two pictures from our hive friends @mipiano and @papilloncharity gave me a bit of a hard time to think of a story but good thing the story-teller in me just couldn't resist creating and put together a story worthy of an entry.
So here it goes, hope you enjoy it!😍😊

Benny's Brave Bread Ballet:
A Sparrows' Snack Showcase

Once upon a time in a bustling park, there was a cheeky little bird named Benny. Benny was a sparrow with a knack for mischief and a love for food. One sunny afternoon, he spotted a delicious piece of bread lying on the pebbled ground. Without a second thought, he swooped down, snatched it up, and took a triumphant perch on a nearby bench.

But Benny was not your average bird. Instead of gobbling it up right away, he decided to play a little bit game. With the bread hanging from his beak, he waited dramatically as if he were a king awaiting his subjects. People strolled by, some chuckling at the sight of him with the bread dangling precariously, while others paused, wondering what he was up to.

As Benny waited, a curious squirrel approached, its little nose twitching at the sight of the bread. Benny puffed out his chest and attempted a regal squawk, which came out more like a strange warble. The squirrel, unimpressed, rolled its eyes and scurried off.

Then a little girl wandered over, pointing excitedly. “Look, Mom! That bird’sholding a snack!” Her mother laughed, taking a picture, while Benny struck a pose, bread still hanging defiantly.

Just then, a flock of pigeons descended, squawking loudly and eyeing Benny’s prize. He squawked back, puffing himself up even more. "This is mine! You’ll have to challenge me for it!” he seemed to say, still refusing to swallow.

The pigeons were not intimidated. They began to dance around him, flapping their wings and creating chaos. Benny, feeling the pressure, decided to make a dramatic exit. He hopped off the bench, still with the bread dangling, and tried to fly away.

But, as fate would have it, he misjudged his leap and landed face-first into a patch of grass. The bread flew from his beak and landed perfectly on the nose of a nearby sleeping dog. The dog woke with a start, confused but thrilled to find a snack right on its snout.

Benny, realizing what had happened, burst out laughing—or at least it sounded like laughter. He hopped around, flapping his wings in delight as the dog, now very much awake, chased after him, barking playfully. The pigeons cawed in surprise, the little girl giggled uncontrollably, and even the squirrel, now watching from a safe distance, couldn’t help but chuckle.

And so, Benny learned a valuable lesson that day: sometimes, it’s better to eat your snack right away instead of playing the waiting game. But he still couldn’t resist a good show, even if it meant sharing the spotlight with a hungry dog.
The End.

I wish to invite our hive friends @jurich @olivia08 @diosarich @farm-mom to enter this fun story telling weekly challenge.
