The herons are not disturbed by traffic, because they know from experience that they are not in danger by drivers.
Is it true that grey herons have been increasing rapidly the last times, groups of several specimens can be observed in a wide variety of places.

Thanks @almi, and thank you for creating awesome content.
We have lots of Great Blue Herons here . During the spring , some preserve managers block even some trails that are not very close to rookery areas , to avoid disturbing the nesting birds . When I paddle on the river , I see lots herons hunting in the shallow marsh areas . They are easily disturbed (squawk squawk !!) by me and my kayak , even at what I consider to be a good distance .
I also often see the Blue Heron, on the shore of Lake Zurich, they are great, many thanks!
Wonderful photos of that beautiful bird! Great to see it in the #featheredfriends community!
