My daughter watching birds, a great experience👧🐦🐣🌳 | Mi hija observando aves, una gran experiencia 👧🐦🐣🌳 eng/esp

Hello dear hive community! I hope you are well✌

I want to tell you that a few weeks ago my daughter Isabela realized that there was a small nest in a bush in the patio. She was very attentive and saw how the little bird built her nest with twigs.

As I had already told you, she is a nature lover and loves animals. The truth is that I am very happy that at her young age she knows how to value nature, and seeing how noble she is with animals makes me feel proud. She takes care of a morrocoy tortoise, a cat, some chicks, a rooster and a hen, we also have a dog and she feeds two stray dogs that always come (Linda and Aurora).

The days went by and she was always on the lookout for the nest, she realized and saw that it was not just one bird, but two, and she deduced that it was a female and a male, and that they were surely making their nest to have little birds, ( those were his words hehe).

We do not usually go to the patio much, since we live in the upper part of the house, but from here you can see the nest.

She took so much interest that she observed him daily, one day we went down to the patio and she ran to the nest and to her surprise the nest had two little eggs. She was so excited by her find that she stayed there observing and studying the behavior of the little birds.

She realized that they took turns taking care of the nest, that not only the mother bird took care of the eggs, but that when she went out to eat (she supposes), the male bird arrived and stayed taking care of the nest. She also observed that the bird that she believes to be the "male" makes a loud noise when someone approaches the nest to try to scare away strangers, while the "female" remains calmer and a small pompadour rises on her head.

It is a kind of small birds, one brown with reddish tones and a small pompadour and the other is gray with white with a beautiful large pompadour, we do not know what kind of bird they are but, she called the brown he chicken bird that she supposes is the female and zebra bird to the other which is supposed to be the male. One because of its resemblance to a chick and the other because it has feathers like the stripes of a zebra.

His curiosity to know what they were called increased and asking they told him that they call them porporos, That's how they know him around here, we don't know if that's his real name.

When she got up, she immediately went to see the nest and one day she realized that something was happening, and she insisted on going down and when she approached the nest she realized that the chicks had hatched. Finally what she had waited for so much was happening, it was incredible to see her happy face. She continued to watch for several days and watched as the parent birds fed her chicks.

One morning, as usual, she went to observe the nest and to her amazement, the chicks were learning to fly with their parents, and very excited she went down to the patio to observe the process closely. So 2 days passed and one morning he didn't see them anymore. She became very sad and cried because she would not see them more, but I told her that she should not be sad that not everyone has the privilege of being in the whole process of seeing they little bird hatch and fly, that she is very lucky able to observe all the birds that come to the patio and watch them fly freely.

¡Hola querida comunidad hive! espero se encuentren bien✌

PicsArt_03-10-02.58.24.jpg
