Recently we got to see a massive flock of Canadian geese the other day!
Goosed Up Mallards
We went for a nice little walk the other day along a river that had a nice riverwalk area, something we were looking to do for a few reasons. We got some cool sights when we were out there! It's a little hard to see here but there were two giant white swans on the ice!
We originally saw a few birds, Canadian geese, floating around the water and figured that was nice. They aren't up where we are for whatever reason, probably because people don't feed them where we are lol
All of a sudden we heard this really large flock flying down! I figured they were just passing by and would keep going but then the birds on the ice in front of us started talking to them in the air and it was a really funny and cute scene to see. This flock of about 40 or 50 birds coming down then all the geese just honking left and right. It was almost like "Hey Charlie! How are you? I haven't seen you since the field in New York!" type stuff lol
Then there were some ducks hanging around. This one duck got really close to us and just decided to sit right down and hang out lol. I think it was looking for food but it was a little funny and slightly sad that the ducks were so comfortable to sit so close to us.
It seemed like someone either fall in the ice or broke the ice here, was quite a large gap in the ice right near the shoreline. The ducks were walking through it and were hanging out near us to see if they could get some snacks.
More ducks coming to hang out with us!
