RE: Let Our Picture Tell Your Story - Edition 43

Cuchi

Once upon a time there was a mysterious animal that came to the patios and gardens of a neighborhood at night.
It made a hard-to-describe sound that resembled an exhalation or puffing, and was sometimes accompanied by something like a monkey's voice or a dog's barking.
Each neighbor gave their opinion on what could be the origin of the strange sound. Some believed that it was an old man who snored while sleeping, others that it was a toad. Others were frightened and attributed supernatural reasons to it. They even recorded it without being able to identify it.
In the afternoons there was also an 🦉owl that arrived, whose visit was highly appreciated by everyone because it kept the rodent population under control, but, above all, because of its cute and innocent appearance that made it seem like it didn't break a plate. Actually, he broke all the crockery. Everyone called him "Cuchi" and he got so used to that nickname that he knew they were referring to him without knowing the exact meaning.
His fame exceeded the borders of the urbanization and the neighbors created a WhatsApp group to monitor his activity and be able to take care of him. Every afternoon they waited for him to arrive or called him by his nickname.
There came a day when one of them decided to solve the mystery of the strange nocturnal sound, armed himself with a flashlight and entered the darkness from where the creature could be heard, surrounded only by plants that could barely be seen.
There was Cuchi. It was he who made the ugly sound to deceive and make him look like a bigger monster or beast and discourage other predators bigger than him.
From then on, everyone knew when Cuchi arrived when they heard the not pretty (cuchi) sound he made.

Thank you for your attention 🙂. Hello @Wrestlingdesires, this is the story that inspired me by the photo of the beautiful owl published by @azmirulamin. Hope you like. I invite @riplord and @nellita66 to participate in this fun challenge.
