These photos were taken on a previous visit to Attenborough Nature Reserve, Nottinghamshire which was opened by Sir David Attenborough in 1966.
There's a good eclectic mix of birds. I just took the tripod and sat for a couple of hours.
I saw gulls, a stork, swans and Canada Geese. I don't mind seeing the usual birds as they are still good to photograph.
Coming into land .....
It's a lovely place with lots of different walks and bird life to enjoy, as well as the restaurant and information centre.

That is very true! I had similar types of shots two days ago. The little duck swam so fast towards me my camera did not even want to focus. I have a very cheap 300mm lens and the autofocus is too slow.
