Last weekends bird pictures

Spring is such a beautiful time of the year and wildlife is catching up and more and more activity of different bird species help me to take some more interesting pictures of birds. Last weekend I visited the Inn River again for some bird and wildlife photography. This is probably at the moment my favorite place and there are always some nice birds that live there and it is only a one hour drive from my home place. But of course I also want to see some other places and other birds that don't live up there.

Today I met with Tanja and she has been to Trebon in the Czech Republic the last week, she was amazed on the bird diversity there and she intensified my wish to soon visit the Trebon Area in the Czech Republic for some bird photography. I really need to visit this place soon. But first things first. Tomorrow I will visit Lake Neusiedler in eastern Austria again for some bird photography, and I am sure I will find several nice species down there again.

But back to last weekends trip, as usual at the wetlands of the Inn rivers you can find some great crested grebe, not directly at the river but in the wetlands where there is not so much movement in the water and they can more easily dive for food and prey under water. These are usually some parts of the river that don't have such a fast flow due to Islands, shallower parts or some small ponds that fill up during floods and keep their water for several weeks / months.
