When I visited the district of "Burgenland" at the end of May, I was able to take several nice pictures of birds. One of these birds it this beautiful "Eurasian Advocet". I really love how it is using it's beak looking for food in the shallow water. Because it is also a pretty seldom bird that can probably only be found at Lake Neusiedler in Austria. It is breeding there, but as far as I know there is no other spot in Austria where you can find this beautiful bird breeding.

I am happy that I found it this year, but I would be more happy if I could find a baby advocet somewhere. This is something I am still looking forward to. Then I also would be happy to find more places where I can take pictures of this bird. Maybe some place in Hungary. Lake Balaton is another Place in Europe where these birds can be found and I am already looking forward to visit this great and beautiful lake maybe next year in summer for some bird and wildlife photography there. But since it is a 5 hour drive from Linz and the restrictions are still very difficult to get abroad.
