Common gulls are birds that can be found on nearly every shore (river shores, lake shores) in Austria, but also at a lot of other shores in Europe. This picture was made at the river shore of the danube river near the water power plant Willhering. This place is a good place for bird photography every time when the water level is very low on the lower end of the power plant. If the water level is too high there a lot of birds don't show up because the shores with the stones and the sand is missing wich is probably a good ground for the birds to find some food.

Common Seagulls are one of the birds that can be found regularly there, and they are there the whole year round. While other birds only visit this place during the bird migration in spring and autumn. I hope I find some time to visit this place this autumn for some pictures of birds that migrate back to the south. Now the time of the migration should already begin and in the next weeks there should be some interesting birds on several places here in Austria.
