Nice photos of them! I don't think we get those, here... We get a kind of wren in the summer that's a very noisy little critter, but not the same color... Or do they change their plumage in summer and winter? They seem to be enjoying your suet-seed blob!
I also have house wrens in the summer. They are both small similar birds, but the Carolina wren has that white eye stripe and is lighter in color. That suet ball had some dried fruit in it, and I think that's what they were after.
I never saw the Carolina wrens when I lived in Central Wisconsin. They were new to me when I moved to the southern part of the state.
