From the life of resting ducks

Two rivers flow not far from my house. Wild ducks live on them. I'm so used to seeing them that I already know their daily routine. Waking up after a night's sleep, when they are actively swimming, they fly from place to place, when they get tired, they rest. In summer, the sunrises are early and the birds wake up with the sun, but not our ducks. You walk along the river bank at 8-9 o'clock in the morning, the ducks are still sleeping at this time. Waterfowl appear to fall asleep at night much later than others.

Wild ducks often sleep on the shore or on different branches, knots find a place. Like these beauties.

And this beauty is resting alone. Birds, like humans. Someone likes big companies, while others prefer peace and quiet.

This duck preens after sleep.

I came close to the water, the duck reacted immediately. I decided that I came to feed her. But in the summer I rarely do it. Birds can get their own food in warm weather. It's safer for them this way.

Without waiting for food from me, the duck indifferently began to look away. Such a proud bird.
